Random...This has to be my favorite car I've ever owned and I've named all my cars except this one. It is clearly a female but never gave her a name. She's been used and abused but she still going stong considering her mileage (108K).

Anyone else know what I mean?

So a quick update. I tested the LIM valves. So Ima try the solenoids next. I ran out of time today (30 min late to work). If all goes well then a new fuel pump will be ordered (walbro FTW)

You need to show proof of 2 racing events yyou have used your car in. I used 2 autoX results i had. It takes a while for them to get back to you though. I applied about 1,5 months ago,

It cost $1626.37

Wait! $1600 for a no mileage tranny or a low mileage tranny? CRAPOLA MAN! I should have done this a long time ago! I paid to much for my tranny!

If its 0 mileage then

How much for the series 2 trans through Mazdaspeed Motorsports?
I've been meaning to join, guess I'll have to take the car to a few track or auto x events soon.

When I decide to go to another autoX ill start a new thread.

EDIT: Btw caveman i went back checked the price for the tranny through MS. I think that price is only for the tranny casing. No internal gearing, shafts, etc. It doesnt look like they sell whole transmissions.

Did you check your engine codes when you did this?? I finally connected the COB since I'll be tuning very very soon and this is what I got:

P0076 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Low (Bank 1)

Was this an easy fix?

I did check the codes and I had one saying "Air pump solenoid circuit low" and "SSV valve solenoid circuit low"....or something like that. That's how I knew what to tackle.

It wasn't hard. Just time consuming. If you want to get to the air solenoids, the UIM will have to be removed (which isn't hard but some of the bolts are a PITA to reach).

this is the thread I followed when trouble shooting my problems.
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-remove-ssv-beta-teaser-video-184663/

If you go ahead and do this let me know. Ill give you a few tips so you don't get as frustrated as I did when I was trying to remove everything.
