From what Rob said, and what Mike's aways told me, Chin gives you so much track time that you're never rushed, always relaxed, can take breaks, and can enjoy the weekend. Last time, he had 5 hours of track time per day. If you're tired and want to sit one out, you can. If you want to ride with others, you're not losing any time. If you need to work on the car, no problem. Most of the time, you're so exhausted that you usually sit a session out to relax.
I'm doing Chin sometime this year. I've heard so many good things about it.

I resemble that remark! I will have my taste of the new surface the first weekend of March so my funds for track are spoken for. Steve and I will probably do some NASA stuff later on in the year but for now i am looking forward to letting it rip with the work we've done since last time out. Steve is doing the 1 day Panoz racing school at the end of Feb so he ought to show vast improvement.
His comment after his last session back in Dec: "I don't know what made me think I could just get in and drive this thing! Jesus it's fast!"
This time the speed limiter is reprogrammed and the new driveshaft has been rebalanced. I wish we had the carbon shaft that the 8 has.
I am going to try and get up to see you guys if time permits.

In any case, if you really want a fancy pants carbon shaft I saw an article in one of my Mustang magazines about a place that will custom make one for ya. (For significant $$ too)
Let me know if you are interested, I'll try to dig it up.

na you dont want that type driveshaft--heck you cant even throw it when you are mad at something!
I will have to come up and watch ya that w/e Charlie. I will have something that may help you out. I am getting the traqmate data system and you are welcome to use that day. Lets get proof of what we already know.

(brief thread brake)
On a side note, if you would like a one day event to get you primed! Check out this thread:
https://www.rx8club.com/se-rx-8-forum-30/alscca-solo-school-3-4-07-a-109607/
I'd like to have some of you join me. It was a private event but has been opened up as we need 8 or 9 more people.

Well, I just got off the phone with a friends' friend, and it looks hopeful I will be in a Z06. HOwever, it may not be till later this year. I WILL be at Road Atlanta, because my buddy will be piloting his new prototype car there. Did I mention it ran a 1:09 at Roebling? It should be VERY interesting to see. One of the guys on the team said the car handled so well at Roebling, he had only to brake at 5, and gear down for 1 (like the radicals do). I can't wait to see it.
Well, ironcially, I am getting on a plane to Atlanta, I will catch you guys later.

Lego / TA / Mazdarati Rob / I can always do a run in 3 if schedule permits. In fact that might turn out to be the most players from the gang we have had together in one session in a long time
We'll see how it goes, perhaps a late session on Sunday when things quiet down a bit...
