Just let me know what the plans are. I don't have an RX yet, but I'm always down for hanging out with fellow rotary enthusiasts.

yah I do it all the time, unless my gf is with me cause she'll freak out. Have any of you guys had any kind of paint protection installed locally? I'm getting a lot of rock chips on my hood and bumper so I'm thinking about maybe doing something about it. Lemme know if you know of a place or a preferred method. 3M Scotchguard is about all I know about.

First off, lets give a cheer for FOUR PEOPLE POSTING IN ONE DAY!!!!!

Being that this is the first white car I have ever owned, it has been a trial keeping it clean, and the rock chips are eating my soul. EVERYTHING is so much more noticeable on white paint. I have to wash it 3 times a week, and if I dont at least rinse it once a day it looks like it hasn't been touched in a month. And with how reflective the paint is, every defect is blatant. I had plenty of chips in the rsx's paint, but you didnt really notice them in the gray paint... I still love my color though, its purdy.

Do what the ricer bos do, cover your hood with useless stickers/decals, perferibly with prodcts not even installed on your car, hell throw in a "TypeR" badge just for fun.

P.S. Me and my girl are both off work Sat so let me know the plans. Everyone just has to promise not to laugh when we show up in her little tiny Toyota Yaris

YES! I plan on ordering my decal as soon as the new tshirts go into production. dshiznit had the decals for sale at the Orlando meet but I had exactly $0 on me, boo.
So no suggestions on where to get clearbra/3M installed? Same here seph, and I don't have a place where I can just hose it off, so I break out the quick detailer spray n wipe every day :| It is definitely a lot of work. I NEED A GARAGE!

try this site, they give you a DIY so you can do it yourself properly. You can also call them and they will give you a shop in this area that certifies in installing the 3M film.

Cool, thanks man. I'll have to put that on my TO-BUY-LIST. It's way too long already, ugh.
Yea gf's car is a Nissan Cube so I have no comment on the Yaris. I feel like I have to hide my face when riding in it..
But she loves it so it's whatever.

meh. People would only buy a Yaris if they just need something to get from point A to point B cheaply. That means they don't really care about the passion of driving. And if you don't care about driving, you will most likely drive carelessly, putting those of us who do care and our precious cars in danger. Most "fender benders" are caused by people not paying attention, IE being careless. Therefore, all who arrive at the dealership to purchase a Yaris should have their drivers license revoked and be forced to use public transportation.

Haha, this is pretty much true. My girl is pretty bad about it, but in her defence she's used to being a pizza delivery driver and always being in a hurry. I did teach her how to manually shift her Yaris though, and ever since she loves driving it that way. I'm convinced I'll have her fully converted before long.

Anyway, whats the plans for saturday? I'm down for hanging out and talking to some fellow car fans, since some of you guys don't like the sonic crowd may I sudjust someplace that sells beer? They seem to keep the ricer bois at bay.

Hmm, I don't know anything about autocross. I've never been to an event, so I'd probably be interested in spectating and see how it all works?

well that is your opinion. i used to own a beat down 97 honda accord and still treated it like it was a brand new car. it got great gas but never got into an accident with it.

On the Yaris this, I was just kidding. I used to have a Daewoo Lanos, That thing hated gas, I got close to 35 mpg out of it, until my wife wrecked it.

Please do the track thing! It is the corvette club we are racing with, but at least two people I know are going, maybe three, but no Rx-8s except me so far. Its me, a 500hp evo, and a fit, POSSIBLY a EG-6
