Well, If you see another copper red in town that would be me. I bought it on Thursday night and had to go to B-ham for the weakend. I got an okay price I thought and will spend tomorrow getting my plate. Any one know a good place in Huntsville to get windows tinted? I don't plan on getting it done until the Spring, but I wanted to know if anyone knew of a good place.

i took mine to the one-day auto tinting on university dr. they do a pretty good job and give a lifetime warranty on their work. i've taken 3 cars there so far. i was in b'ham yesterday takin' my car to get it's first check up at the dealer, had fun drivin' back on 65

Hi! Im Laura. We are jsut gonna have to meet...... I saw a Copper Red (something ) tonight at the redlight at gov, and california.......lol was that you? I thougth It might have been a miata, because I've seen one that is copper red. I love the color! As far as Tint, I was told Extreme out on 72 west. Might be the same place, between huntsville and Madison. I've not had that done yet. I have only had clear corners done, and I did that myself.. Mazdaparts.com 84.99 plus shipping, and they are a snap to do, dont let anyone tell you different. If you are not familiar with the 8's as of yet, follow the break in guidelines to a T and check your oil about every 500 miles till you get your first oil change. I did, and I used maybe a half a quart, and I travel hilly terrain because of where I live everyday. I am planning on doing the tint, upgrading the seats with a embroidered design, having eurethane eyelids done to match the car, and strakes to match too, and the list goes on......lol. Any questions you have , feel free to ask.....If I cant answer them......I know of a place where I can get you the answer .
As far as the price.....I paid sticker, which I shouldnt have probably, but ya know sometimes, you jsut see something that you HAVE to HAVE.....lolol I about wrecked my trade in I couldnt find a place to park fast enough.

BTW. Did you buy yours at Jeff Sikes? If so and you noticed a BLACK 05 GT MUSTANG, thats what I traded, and I have NO regrets. I have had mine Oct 6 will be 90 days, and have 5700 miles on her, just piddling around town...Cant help but "oh I forgot this, and the store" or volunteering to run go get something..LOVE to drive her.

DYK that there were 1500 SHINKA's made, in 06, and they are not coming out with the color next year. Of those all had the copper stitching in the seats but they were available in 4 colors, both AT and MT, but the only TRUE SHINKA's were the total package, COPPER RED MICA, and ONLY in MT. havent found just how many were actually produced, but I know of only three owners. One is in NY and then there are you and I.

Praxis, ill check on that car show again to make sure, with the temps getting cooler, ya never know... OPTIC, TORCH, you too,! Wouldnt we blow the minds of those "old muscle car freaks".....its supposed to be next saturday. i check about the times..just think.If torch can come, I think his is red, with your blue, and Optic and I, that would be cool..... nothing major, just show off the "New" muscle in town....lolol Im not in it for any trophies, but you never know...there are all kinds of classes......

i'll be at the AU vs. Arakansas game saturday... depending on how quick we get out of there, i might be able to make it... but i'd love to show, and i'll try to get one of my friends to bring his '04 red one also

Don't own a 8 but have a Speed Protege. Still waiting for Mazda to make a Speed 8 or RX-7 LOL( like the that will ever happen) then I will be able to trade up. I had a 82 RX-7 that took a salt water bath durning Ivan, so maybe some day I can get back into a rotary powered car.

Do any of you work at Intergraph? There is a 8 that always has a cover on it parked at building 20. (I'm in 15)

any one up here want to get together this weekend? maybe dinner sun night? the guys in b'ham do stuff together... we should too! in reality, i just think it'd be fun to see how many 8's (or 7's, can't leave out the other rotaries) we can put in one parking lot... any who... just an idea

ok, so that's 2... and i've been seeing a whole lot of 8's drivin' around h'ville lately... i met a woman monday night in madison with an '06 white shinka she just bought... and saw a guy pulling out of adtran with a black one... why aren't they on this board! oh well, their loss! when i think steaks... i think outback... enough ranting for now, gotta get back to working...

Hey guys, Im gonna have to take a raincheck on this one. I have to make a run to Florida. My family has property in the panhandle and they had some wicked storms, and there's damage. No rest for the weary, and believe me, its too cold for the beach!

Praxis1301, you are right, we need to start doing a get together, every other week or so. When I get my baby right again, we'll do a photo op!

wasnt it you that was looking for a white 8 to do the red white and blue thing? Your's is blue, OS's and mine are both "red"lol , get the lady you met to meet you and you have your shoot!

Ya know.......I had a thought.....Put out a thread about wanting pics of red white and blue 8's side shots..IF you can get them all, there are alot of guys here that can do some awesome photo chops...and with Veterans day coming.....what a great thing to post on the web...or see if they will enter their cars in the upcoming veterans day parade. That would be awesome. If she was done I'd do it in a heart beat.

Not bad. I hate to speek badly of someone elses photos, but I will. A little more light wouls make those pics awesome. I assume that these were taken in the evening as the sun was going down? I do, however, like the choice of location. The copper red would look great with a fall background. You might think about taking some more photos in the same location before all the leaves have left the trees.

The pics that were posted by Praxis, are you thinking that red 8 was mine? That is a VR 8, not my Copper Red. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Praxis, nor the other owner. Mine does have clears. (mazdaparts.com $90.00) The only pics anywhere of mine are on the "other" site. I'm known under the same name so you can look under it and find all my posts. She is in my signature.
