If there's not a route already, I ran a short one over the weekend. It was 35-40 minutes, from Grants Mill to Rex Lake passed Barber, through Leeds to Hwy 119 to Lake Purdy, along Secard Hollow Rd (behind Liberty Park) to Hwy 280 for lunch.

If we want something longer, I've had a suggestion of driving Hwy 25 from Leeds to Calera (near 29 Dreams). I yet don't know the time or distance. Has anyone done Hwy 25? It's a popular route with lots of curves.

What say ye on a route? Lunch?

BTW, I passed a blue 8 at I-459 & Grants Mill Rd Monday evening. Was that you L-Co?

The Grants Mill Road route sounds good to me. Looking forward to it!

Yep, it probably was me you saw. Yesterday I thoroughly enjoyed my drive home from work since the weather was so nice. Windows down, moonroof open, and music blaring. I didnt see you!

Some guys here @ work were telling me about a silver 8 that hit a jeep yesterday over by the summit. They said the car was heavily damaged in the front. Hopefully no one was injured.

With that being said...is everyone's car ok??

Well my car is fine... Hate to hear that. I saw a silver or Titanium one on I-20 near Oxford this afternoon, was that anyone in here?

Have any of you had any dealings with Med center Mazda's service/ parts dept? How come Trussville Mazda has cheaper parts since they are owned by the same people? Makes no since to me at all and I asked the question last time I was at Med Center and they could not tell me.

I have a guy that works there and he can't get the parts as cheap as they sell from Trussville and he gets them at cost supposedly. Just curious

I bought my 8 from Med Center back in December. So, I've only had one experience with their service (had an oil change in March). No problems. But, I know the Parts Manager, Brian, at Trussville Mazda fairly well. He has gotten me a few parts and has been extremely fair, helpful, and fast. I cant explain the cost difference between the two places, but will ask next time I see Brian. Good question.

We really need to find a time when everyone can get together and meet. If it is just to meet and hang out somewhere.

Oh while I am thinking of it I seen a VRed 8 sitting at the Eastaboga exit today, was that any of ya'll?

Our first RX8 meeting! We went for a nice cruise then had lunch and adult beverages (wink, wink) at TGI Fridays. Lots of car stories and tall tales were exchanged. I'll get more pics up as soon as I kick this stupid sinus junk.
Later, Lisa

I hate that I had to miss it. My Pearl White 8 would have looked great sitting next to the other cars... we would of had one of just about every color. Whenever another meetup is decided I will make sure that I am off work (Sick day anyone?) to attend!

That pretty blue one needs to be unleashed on a road course. C'mon L-Co, uncork her and make her happy.

Shame the weather was dank, and the cars didn't shine as much. But, the people make the meets as much as the cars. We had sunshine there. Even if I was the elder statesman. By a long shot....

Lisa, maybe a pic of your car will help clear your sinuses.......
