Anyone interested in a Carolina's RX-8 Club?
Hi All,
I traded in my S2000 on an RX-8 earlier this week. I needed the extra 2 seats but wanted to stick with a sports car.
I used to organize a good amount of "Blue Ridge Runs" for the S2k International club.
I don't know what clubs exist now but I was wondering if there is a Carolinas 8 club and if not, who else would be interested?
I always found it great that the S2000 community had a Carolina's only club. It was a lot of fun and made for a lot of good get togethers.
I would be glad to orgnaize some group get togthers if anyone else is in interested.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Dean

I'd be interested. Used to run with a BMW and a Porsche club for a while (years ago), and always had a ball. Also, see some of Racer X-8's posts... he's talking about something similar... maybe joining up with the RX-7 guys.
Keep us posted.

Carolina,
I will get in touch with him.
I personally used to organize a Blue Ridge Run from Fancy Gap, VA to Blowing Rock, NC.
We would drive some, take breaks and talk, and then have lunch in blowing rock.
I always tried to break the people up in groups depending how they drove. The last thing I wanted was an autox guy to encourage someone not experienced to drive 100 + into some of the curves.
Here is the link to my old singup webpage. I obiously need to modify it

Yeah, hey there Dean,
My son and I just threw something together for an August meet with the SC RX-7club folk. Wound-up a bit too short-notice for my liking, but, here's my post with the lowdown...

It'll just be a night of fun and hopefully, getting to know each other. Hopefully not the last either.
I like your kind of meet as well, with some actual driving involved. Afterall... right? Kurt Bob has something going on this weekend as well. See his post...
