Anyone in Memphis
Hi guys and gals
Any RX8 owner who would like to get together for a meet/greet, modification/repair tips, lunch, etc -let's make it happen. Let's not be left behind by all the other car clubs (previous owner of Corvette, 2 Mustangs, Chrysler Crossfire). I can be contacted via email jerry.woods@earthlink.net. My name is Jerry. Thanks. Have a great spring !

Hey Jerry, I have been looking around myself. I'm actually not from Memphis, but live an hour away in Blytheville AR, but no one around here has RX8's really...a few people from Jonesboro, but thats about it. I have looked in the Arkansas side of this forum but its all in the Fayetteville and Little Rock area which is 3-5 hours away and with memphis only being an hour from me i've been looking for something closer to home. Let me know if you get anything going. Thanks! David

Might have been us, we were looking for a good place to eat since Chillis changed their menu and now they're both expensive and awful.
We settled on La Hacienda on Germantown road since it's been reliably good and cheap for almost a decade now. Know any good resturants that aren't BBQ?

Restaurants
If you want pizza, Memphis Pizza Cafe is the best in town. There are three locations I think around town and they all are incredible. For a great sandwich, try Firehouse subs. It's a good price for a lotta sandwich. And if you want to try something new, go to Grisanti's in Embassy Suites right off Poplar. It's a nice restaurant and has a really good menu. Hope this helps.

We'll have to try those. I'd add "foxridge pizza" on germantown road near La Hacienda and Hueys to that list. They pretty consistently put out a nice pie.

I'm in the Memphis area. I drive a black 04 GT. Needs a wash but it just seems like every time I decide to wash it, it is supposed to rain the next day.. I always see women driving RX-8s here.
I think I'm probably the youngest Rx-8 driver though. And since I spend most of my time in the Germantown/Collierville area I have been pulled over 3 times for really no reason, just because the cops have nothing better to do.

While the Germantown/Bartlett cops can be a bit of a bunch of aggressive knuckle heads, they probably had their reasons beyond profiling... Those are good people for the most part.
The profiling is just a phase that a lot of us have to go through. Keep your insurance current, be corteous, and don't speed and you'll be fine. They are, in the end, just looking out for your safety. Besides, Memphis speeding tickets are really easy to fight.
Any pics of the 8?
