I'm planning on going to my first autocross for the gulf coast SCCA next time it's in Pensacola. I think there was an event this weekend and the next one is in AL. does anyone here do that?

 

Haven't been on here in a while but I get random updates on posts. Noticed the last one about the autox.

Yes we had one over at Manheims auction lot this past weekend. First autox in Pensacola in 8 yrs ir so. Normally we're over in Mobile/ Grand Bay. I suggest you guys come out and use those 8's for what they're built for. My 1st autoxs were in my old 8 before we swapped to racing speed3s.

 

I'm down to go during the next event! I haven't been able to go hard on my rx8 that much yet.

 

Hey yall, I live in P'cola (Cantonment) to be exact. do we have any local get "togethers"?

 

Sometimes we do try but very few show up due to timing and schedules

 

sweet! Well I am totally down for ANY weekend anytime, and any weekday after 6! I am really interested in getting to know some local rotary nerds!

 

So I was thinking of setting up something for the 27-28th time frame if anyone is down. I'm still pretty new to the area so I don't know any good stops to chill or grab a bite but I'm sure if we all put or rotorheads together we can come up with something. I'd also like to set up some sort of relaxed cruise somewhere and a photoshoot. If you guys are down just let me know. I used to set up meets on rx7club in cali for awhile so I'm down to put in the work for the Florida crew =P

 

I will do my best to attend any weekend that I am not out of town.

 

Heck I'm even down to do an every other weekend sunday brunch ;-)

Wish I could but I either need a new motor or a new starter hopefully just the starter, I'm waiting on a new one to come in to replace the old one then compression test keep your fingers crossed guys....

I'm good with that. We can keep it simple and hit up a restaurant or something. Someone before mentioned a donut shop, I'm down for hitting something like that up as well.

 

Sounds good man, everything is pretty much done new starter and battery are in, just need to run the car warm it up and see if the problem remains. Hopefully everything is good so I can get some much needed tuning done next week.

 

Ok just an update, everything seams to be good so far the car is running like normal again and is ready to be tune next week. I can't wait I'm down to hang out anytime just let me know when you gys want to meet up......

 

I got my new bumper and rear skirt in from Japanparts today if anyone wants to come over and figure out how to put it together with me. all the directions are in Japanese. I'm sure I can figure it out, but the invite is out there.

it won't be for 2+ weeks though since it sustained some damage in shipment and I'm waiting on the insurance process
