Atlanta Mazda Warranty

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with installing aftermarket parts and if you have had any trouble with voiding the warranty. Also, has anyone gotten a modfication OK'd by an Atlanta Dealership. Thanks for the help.

Huff, I can't really speak to this matter since I haven't done any mods, but I've read a couple of other threads where people couldn't get their dealership to service their cars b/c of certain modifications they had done (even small ones). I've read even little things, like attempting to paint the brake calipers and accidentally getting the paint on other parts, could void the warranty. Sounds to me, though, like it's on a dealership-by-dealership basis and I'd either check your dealer's tolerance level first or else establish a good rapport with the service manager!

I have had good experience with Mazda of Roswell. Painted calipers/rotors and am putting RB sways and springs on. I know I am on the hook for these things and what they touch, but the service dept is cool.

However, I wouldn't just show up with a problem. Insteadget anoil change, get to know the dealership. Meet the service manager, get a feel for how they do things before you need their help.

I deal with Jim Ellis all the time. Unfortunately, they know me on a first name basis. I have painted calipers and once had a K&N intake. They never said anything.

I've used Rick Case and Moss Robertson. I was going to paint my calipers until I read this thread. I think I will wait until I can have a discussion with the service department.
