I just check out the PBOC website today - they are saying that the HPDE is full for this event now. So if you haven't signed up yet, I guess you won't be able to run.

Here are some Barber photos:

I love that last shot. I can feel the car moving gracefully left and right! Damn, I can’t wait! You know what would be really cool… To hook up my still camera to shoot from my car somehow! Like maybe it could be a timed trigger mechanism or something. I wonder what it would take to do that?

Lego, did you get signed up?

After checking the registrants, looks like TA and I are the only two RX-8's. Since he is in Solo, we will not be on the track at the same time. Also looks like Advanced & Intermediate run together. I'm getting excited. At least TA will have a track day in this month and I have to wait for my fix.

Barber is a large track and is designed for a well rounded car - not just a hp car, so I think you find the 8 does really well there! 26 cars - that is not bad - but 39 seems a bit to much.

Guys - I am really thinking about only doing Chin events in the future since you get so much quality track time and everyone is there to just have fun! It is really cool to be on track at the same time with race cars. If you look at the cost per lap, Chin is the best bargain around!
So - anyone want to join me at VIR in December with Chin?

TA, you need a dedicated track car w/cage, trailer and a SUV. My friend, you are past the simple track ho stage and are now working being a certified ho.

As a full blown instructor I will get from 3 to 4 hours per day on track between the left and right seat. The 2007 schedule is going to be awesome with events at all the SE tracks within driving distance (Road Atlanta, Roebling, CMP, Barber, Rockingham, maybe even Lowes and Nashville Super Speedway). NASA-SE will offer 3 day RA weekends too with Friday being a solo/test and tune day. I will surely supplement the schedule with events with other organizations and that may include Chin. But, I will likely run every NASA-SE event other than hill climbs as long as I don't have a work/family schedule conflict. It's hard being a ho...
TA - NASA-SE isn't bad, but just about everyone I talked to at CHIN (even the instructors) started out with NASA and once they went with Chin they stopped going with NASA. Chin is the reason why everyone stopped attending the Panoz events at Sebring. Chin is working on trying to get into Road Atlanta, but Panoz is afraid of loosing all their schools, so I dought Chin will be let in there. Panoz doesn't see NASA as a threat since the amount of track time/$ is so high with NASA. I will still do some NASA events, but probably only at Road Atlanta next year.

Guys, I book my reservation for this event (since I need to book so far in advace to get a free room). I am staying at Hampton Inn Birmingham/Trussville and is only 5 miles away from Barber. TA - are you still staying with me?

It looks like the PBOC weeekend might have a different level or car / drivers than we are accustomed to with our regular HDPE days. All levels will have pretty hard core hardware on the track with us and I would suspect that (excepted for novice) the driving levels is likely to be in line with the vehicles.

I think this change of pace will turn-out to be a great learning experience.

Here is a sorted list of participants to make a little easier to see what we'll have as playmates in each group. It does not look perfect as it is a little quickie thing but it will still make it easier to see your groups.

PM me for a ready made spreadsheet if interested

hey, don't forget, I will be there on Saturday, as the official photographer. I can't pass that chance up, I enjoy taking pictures, and if I can't drive, I might as well be there for the fun and games.

And, I am sure there will be more 911's there than my little brian can handle.

Hey - any of you guys are interested, I will be at Sebring the weekend before this Nov 11 and 12th. Chin allows passangers and I am driving Solo for this event. So if you want to get a ride around Sebring, come on down - I have a hotel room with two beds at the track.

I may have to come over and take pictures on Sunday. My father-in-law is having a party the night of the 18th, that I am attending.

Nope! Talked with Charlie this AM and plan to order from Rotary Extreme unless someone knows where I can get the Tein Flex for a better price than $1250.

Whoohoo I am so pumped! Can't wait to go back to Barber and play with them Porsches! I think I might surprise a few "Porschephiles" with my tricked-out suspension and sticky rubber...

I really don't care about the porsches as I will be so geddie with excitement just because I'm on the track. Don't care if they pass me left and right. I will be one super happy camper.

Yea, TA2, That's the plan. I don't really have the money but I think I will make it appear some how! If I just order it on my charge card i'll have to pay for it, right? TA is dead on... I have the bug. It's kind of like sex, once you have it on your mind, nothing else matters until the urge is taken care of. Right now I think about those damn Tein's more than sex! Then again at my age, that's understandable.

Just don't go overboard like me! Yet, it is fun as anything to install your stuff and feel it work on track!

Hey guys - just an idea, can we change the name for GA RX8 club to the GA TrackAddict club. Just makes more sense since there are becoming more cars that are non-RX8, TRackAddict is our unelected president, and we seem to be all addicted to track!
