Best dealer for service in Southern FL?

I bought a used 2004 MT with 32k miles from Gunther Mazda in Ft Lauderdale area.
I've been experiencing vibration at idle and sudden dips in the RPMs at idle.

I don't want to get jerked around by a dealer service department. You guys have experience. Who are the good dealers and bad dealers down here? Who's going to take my car seriously and fix the issue without hassle?

[I'm still trying to determine if its a motor mount issue, or a recall issue, or what... reading and learning]

OK... so i figured i'd try Lehman for service since it's generally closer to home/work and i wouldn't have to get up at 6 AM to be at Gunther by 7:30 or something. I took my car to Lehman to have the rear tail light fixed/replaced because of SEVERE condensation (it was a damn fish bowl).

So what's the verdict? Though the service wasn't bad it was empty and everything... i'm not happy. Why? Well because the dealers supply you with a progress report of your car where they check all fluids and check tire pressure/tread wear blah blah blah. They gave me all greens. I should be happy right? WRONG! My tires are bad (changing them out this weekend). I've been told by Gunther Mazda for some time now that i am in "YELLOW" as far as tire wear. It's impossible to go from Yellow to Green when the tires haven't been replaced and when i blantantly asked my service advisor to get price quotes because i needed new tires (Btw still waiting on that quote!!!).

So in conclusion.. i'm sticking to Gunther!

hey bro let me know what they can do for you at the dealer that you find works best. I took my car over a month ago to Ferman Mazda (TPA), i was driving the car in morning traffic and all of the sudden I stepped on the clutch and it just dropped to the floor. it went away after i pumped it a little, but came back soon after. I took the car to mazda that same day, next day they called me said that they checked the clutch cylinder and slave master and there where no leaks.(They told me they couldn't do anything because they couldn't duplicate the problem). a couple of days after I was just sitting waiting for the light when my iddle dipped, i thought the car was goin to turn off.
oh yeah I have an 04 MT as well

Stay the hell away from Eddie Acardi Mazda!

I went in for the squealing brakes TSB with good pads.

They wanted $270 to replace my brake pads, saying they were special carbon fiber brake pads, custom to the RX-8.

They refused to give me the compression test results for my recall, I'm not even sure if they did it at all. (Is there a way to find out?)

They will dispute any and every warranty claim you bring in. STAY AWAY!

acardi lmao..thats the one on us1 in pompano???? they have a subie dealership that i hear is horrible from a few owners...all in all i think almost every car company sucks lol...ive either had experienced it 1st hand or hear from good friends...one company that is quite suprising to have good service despite being relatively young is scion, they always seem to be nice and knowledgable and go the extra mie, probably cause they are under the toyota brand...

the problem with typical dealership service is everyone wants to pass stuff off to another person and it results in bad service...the other day i was at gunther and i asked the receptionist to page the svc manager and she rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth...you woulda thought i asked her to change my engine or somethin the way she reacted...

I have a 2004 that has an engine change. Ocean Mazda in Miami took very good care of me during that trying time. The re-build had a slight hesitation when I got it. I took it back, they put me in a rental again and the car has been running great for the last 8000 miles. I just bought my wife a 2008 Tribute that came to 2700.00. I went out the door for $19,667.00. The service manager there Bob answers any call I make to him and has been there for some time.

Gunther is pretty good if you hve a warranty, Gordon was the service advisor i used. but man when that warranty ran out the tried to rape me with no vasaline...I had a check engine light and asked them to check it out and they told me it was giving a mis fire reading and showed me the lil print out that have then told me i needed new coils wires and plugs and they wanted to charge me 700.00+...yea so i ended up paying 100 bucks for the diaognosis and 200 to replace them myself..

Ref my RX-8, All the work costs me nothing. Now I am on my own, out of warranty except for drive train. My A/C is out, brakes getting close and ordered new Kuhmos from Tire Rack. I love my baby and anxious to see what is on the horizon from Mazda.
LOL

Freaking Potamkin Mazda is the best! I went for an oil change and they offered a free car wash. I declined cause I was in a hurry, but I was amazed. I later found out, my moms dealer did the same..
