What day would work best for everyone???? Thursday, friday or saturday???? keep in mind the track officially opens up @ 7pm and it stays open till 11pm, but if we get a large group, I'm sure we can work something out with the hours.

Seems like most people in the other forums are leaning towards Saturday also.

Ask Fluid when their car will be driving again, I want to see it in public myself... Probably not the car you are thinking of but I hear it holds it own on the dyno.

Any sort of instruction out there at this track thing? I would love to get into auto-x, but I'm probably too newb to be trusted alone on a track

If you mean a 300hp N/A Rx8, then no, there's no such thing here in Orlando or anywhere in the world for that matter. However, there's quite a few turbo, and SC Rx8s here in O-town pushing well past the 300 whp mark and I'm quite sure some of them will show up to a meet at the track.

Zeon, the way they were doing it last Saturday was pretty good for track noobs like myself, they started with a pace car for a good 10 min, then they did a few more laps at a higher speed. Then they went at it again, this time with about 5 seconds in between cars and running as fast as they could comfortably go, from this last session they got separated in 2 groups, the slower group and the faster group with about 4-5 cars in each group, then based on their times(cars had transponders) the fastest car of the group went first, followed by the 2nd fastest about 10secs behind, then 3rd, etc....., again, going as fast as they could.
I thought this strategy was pretty good, cuz the slower guys were never on the way of the fastest ones and the faster guys were never behind a slower guy trying to push him out of the way.

Hehe, while this sounds like a good plan I see one glaring flaw in it... ME. I may feel really comfortable with the speed I'm going in a straight, but when I get to that corner its a whole different story. I figure I'll be inclined to push myself harder than I would on the road and that could have unfortunate repercussions is all...

I mean, I'm still down, but I need to fix a shitty coil before I feel comfortable tracking the vehicle.

Even though i have loved the 8 since 04, it is just not right for me as a DD. I ended up with a 2009 accord coupe V6 6speed. Love the car for what it is.

I know a FWD accord is not the best for a track, but i just want to get some track time. Thanks again for the post.
