hey epi
I wanna go! But, guys beware if you are goingto have passengers you need to warn them they could get sick. Seriously, its like seasickness, the constant turning acceleration etc, they can get sick! My wife does!
The clan of the 8's await!
Great job getting this going. we need to make it an annuel event!

C'mon!! When will the next time be when we have the opportunity to gather like this? This will be something to talk about for many months to come. Let's all come together and have a good time.

I think Feras may be coming (from PA) and RX-GR8 is going to make a decision. He'll come from NJ. I think they'll meet up and ride down. You interested?!

RX-GR8 has signed up. This is going to be soooooo awesome. Updates..make sure when you register, you download and print-out the "Enrollment Form." There are checkblocks to indicate where you want to stay and the enrollment forms are what's used to draw the doorprizes from. Believe me....looks like we may have some sweet doorprizes. :D :D

Been there ... done that .... wanna do it again in my "8"!

I'll see what the schedule holds next week to see if I can attend. By the way, in the group I was in, we used radios to assit with oncoming traffic.

The comments on car sickness are valid. If you have that issue, make sure you bring the proper meds!

Good advice! Do what you can to come. Experienced challengers will be a key ingredient in making this event not only exciting, but safe as well.

For people who've never driven on a mountain road before, is there anything we should know?

You'll need to turn the steering wheel :p
Joking! Joking! Of course, if it is a steep grade be sure and not ride your brakes. Downshift and let the engine slow you.

Watch out for rocks and deer (animals). I found out suddenly one day that you can 'round a corner and VOILA! ROCKS! We've had quite a bit of rain this season, so be careful. I'm sure we'll communicate on our two-ways if there is anything abnormal ahead.

its important to watch for mold on the road. in areas that dont get much light, it can really make the road slick.

Sorry Brian, the Dragon got no mold. Plus, it's just been repaved on the Tennessee side (and 10 of the 11 miles are in Tennessee).
