At the drag strip. Dropped the clutch at 6500 RPMs. Had 28psi in the rear tires. Wheel hop from hell. Enough to chatter my teeth. I'm more than a little vexed.
First gear is now gone, second is on it's way, and my 5th gear synchros are going (have been for over a week).

Ok...I'm not posting our other cruise rout souly becuase i don't want you o-town people to be able to drive it ahead of time...hehe The G'ville people will be there a little early too...we're leaving here around 745 (STILL MEETING UP AT 730 THOUGH!) and the way we drive + our radar detecors..we should be there by 930ish..
So we're eating @ race rock yes?? Around 11ish, i'm going to attempt to get all ya'lls attention and give the game plan and thank some poeple and do the door prize and all that good stuff....that means, when you see a small girl stand up and start to yell at ya'll, SHUT UP! ...the idea is to eat and be on the road ready for cruising around 3-330...that gives everybody about 5 hours from the time we get there....

hi guys . can someone just post an agenda for those of us that are experiencing some senior moments .... like -meet time - where - what's going on during the day - into the night (?) - are those of us travelling from 2 hours or more planning on staying the night or is it a one day only? will there be tables set up flea market style where we can get the shirts, etc. Do we all know how to get where we're supposed to be going? Sorry if I sound like an older person - I AM!!! - lol - and I like most of the slogans except the "show me your *****" one - you never know what you might see - hehehehe

FREE ADVICE!
Hiyas Deb,
The details of the meet are posted on the website. It has been updated this morning. There will be t-shirts for sale, and there are pictures there as well. Use the link below...
Orlando Thang
I'm staying at the Quality Inn up the street so I won't have to drive home (Jax) that night. Their number is 1-800-999-8585.
DRIVEN...please review the details I posted on the website. I was winging it and am not sure if the times listed are EXACT. Thanks.
The guy who did my graphics, and who is a rotary racer is donating a rotary as a door prize. I'm not sure what shape it's in, and I think it's from the RX-7 era, but still, it will make a nice desk conversation piece, nonetheless. So there's another.
I'll print out the doorprize slips for people to fill out there. One prize per driver. I'm also checking into name tags today. There will also be a registration sheet for drivers to fill out, with their email address and phone numbers if they care to share. This event is a GOOD THANG. We need to maintain the bond and contacts....for future events and bail money.:D
EPITROCHOID....do you reckon Race Rock could loan us a small folding table for registration and t-shirt sales?? If not...we will think of something.
SEEYAS SOON!!!

Okay, I got the green light from the wife on this meet. She and the kids will visit the mouse, so I'm a free man for the day.
Has anyone approached Lindell Mazda for goodies to give away?

FREE ADVICE!
New Doorprize!!
I picked up another doorprize today! Pictured below.
It was donated by Thunder Road FX.
It will make someone a nice conversation piece, trophy or clock. I would make it into a clock myself, but I don't know if a week is long enough to do that. Anyways, my dance card is pretty much punched for this week, so...whoever wins it may have to employ their own creative skills.
or.....I COULD just keep it.... :D

whats the difference?
I asked Fred if the rotor was from an RX-7 or RX-8 and he said they both have the 13B rotor. What that means I have no idea. I know electronics, but mechanics isn't my forte'.

Actually the RX-7's had slightly different rotors and the exhaust ports are in a different location. Thats a RX-7 rotor and housing.
Still damn cool :D

yah its from a 13B non-renesis. Exhaust ports on our cars is on the rotor housing, the renesis has them on the side housings... thought you guys would know stuff like that?
anyways here's a pic of the clock my girlfriend made me for my bday.

Maybe I ought to keep this rotor and make something like that for our NEXT meet....or just let the winner do with it as they like. What do ya'll think?
