I have 60 T-shirts of assorted sizes. When those are gone, we can order more, BUT I want to make sure all the drivers get their shirts prior to any tourists who may be roaming around. It won't be easy telling the drivers from the tourists, once things get rolling. My daughter and I will both have our t-shirts on. They are $5. Initially, they will only be sold to those IN ATTENDANCE. THis will ensure that all drivers making the trip get one. After all participants have one, and there's any left over, then we will start selling the rest to whoever.

We will be issuing the shirts out of my trunk....please don't crowd.

i'm going to be dead on saturday...or feel like it. i've been studying nonstop for..god knows how long..cramming an entire semester's worth of all my classes (because i skipped class when i was supposed to learn this crap)..ughh i hate finals..

i've ordered in for every meal and have literally gained 10-15 lbs of pizza and chinese...wtf. i look and smell like death..holy crap can't wait til tomorrow morning when this is all over...yes, i know i paint a pretty picture...but starting at 6 in the morning tomorrow...hopefully i'll be on my way to recovery.. this week's kickin my butt so much i'm not even that excited about saturday..i just want to sleep.....for the next week..........please make this madness end..

Wish I could help you out Pete. My trunk is full of t-shirts, a fishbowl and other incidentals, with my daughter in the passenger seat and our bags and a rotor/housing in the back seat(we're staying the night).

Yes, I will be accompanied by my 15 year old daughter. She loves the 8 and wants me to teach her how to drive in it. If that happens it will be some WIDE OPEN space. :D

Will the Orlando crew be directing the parking so all 8s are together and all 7's and so forth, for group pictures...or will we be all mixed in together or how will that work? epitrochoid, is the parking such where we will have opposite, parking facing each other? Any choice settings for picture ops?

Do you think the Race Rock will have a small table we can use? If not, will they give us the keys to BigFoot?

DRIVEN...how is your wrist? Will you be driving?

just got off the phone with Phil from race rock. here's the deal.

me and strong bad will be there first, and I'll direct 8's to one side and 7's to the other. I'm almost positive we'll have a 'lane' in a parking lot.

also, it's very important that we keep the t-shirt sales on the DL. I called phil today and left a message and he said it's ok to do the shirts, but we can't advertise them. just sell them out of your trunk and we'll be fine, don't make a big ordeal out of it. if a spectator is interested, then we can sell him one but don't walk around going "get ya shirts here!!" We may be able to get a table, but don't count on it.

other than that we're fine! me and my roomate Z2'd up the cars today and we're ready to rock!

 

My car is dirty Didnt get a chance to get a wash in all this week. And I dont think I'll be doing it tomorrow at 6am.

Guess it's a carwash when I get up there (might as well wash the coating of bugs off then).

Anyway, if anybody else in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area is heading up, I'm hitting the turnpike at Commercial at 7am by the latest.

Actually, I WANT to keep the t-shirts a bit quiet so that we'll have enough for the folks participating. We have them arranged in the trunk according to size, so my daughter will be handing them out and taking everyone's [$5 donation]. :D

I'll be busy taking pictures and helping Driven, Blue, guy and Potent with handing out door prizes. I think everything is gonna work out great. Thanks for the heads up and all the trouble you've gone to.

I just got into Orlando and MEOWLOUD called me on my cell phone. They are broken down right now outside Forsyth Georgia which is just north of where I left this afternoon. The power steering has gone totally out and they are stuck on the side of the road. To make matters worse some a$$hole threw soda all over their car as they were passing them on the shoulder. They are having a real tough time and would like some help if possible.

CAN ANYONE PROVIDE ASSISTANCE?? Obviously they are going to call roadside assistance, but it looks as if they are going to be stuck and may not make it the rest of the way.

Help!!!

 

Damn I wish I was closer to help them........I hope they figure it out and get it fixed.

On another note. Tonight I picked up 2 cleaning kits worth $25 a piece so both of those will be added to the raffle. I also have a $50 Gift Certificate to Trussville Mazda, all of these items can be added to the Raffle list!!!!!

Can't wait to get up in less than 8 hours to get on the road!!!!!
