We will have to wait till at least tommorow (thurs) to look at the weekend forcast models as anything over 72hrs is pretty much useless. When it get down to 48 and 24 it will be more accurate. Right now however its a 60% rain chance durring the day on sat. I think that would be from rain bands on the outter edge of the storm. There will no doubt be some rain on sat, but I think it will be from late afternoon showers or early morning shows.
I hope it stays dry for us though. A little could cover and a nice breez would be excelent but please NO RAIN!
As far as the list....who here is going rain or shine? I am!

father and son rx8 rotary duo....nice!
My dad wants to get an rx8, but I told him he should get another sporty car (he likes imports but would like to still have a little power, not the same lvl as his vette but the same feeling (TQ) although he really likes my car) i told him not to, he can drive my 8 when he wants, and ill drive the vette.....so he is thinking of gettin a 350z now...i told him that would be cool (mostly cause we could swap cars occasionaly...muwhahaha!

Rain or shine, this will be a true Florida meet. Actually it's looking pretty promising. It seems that the storm will be clearing the state of Florda late Friday, and early Saturday morning it will be in the Gulf somewhere. Chances of rain is still about 40% which is very normal for a Florida summer. See you out there! Only a couple more days!!!!

^^^ True
You cant live in FL and not expect the CHANCE or rain on any day. Dont let the weather scare you. LEAVE YOUR HOUSE AND COME TO THE EVENT! THAT IS ALL!

OK, here's some more thoughts from me on the meet:
I have to be back in Tampa by 4 PM Saturday. There's no way around it, it's just something I have to do. As such, I will probably be leaving Race Rock around 2 PM.
We are confirmed for Race Rock. They can only block off 75 spots. So if you are the 76th person, you will have to find an alternate place to park. I was told more than once they will be vigilant about this. Anymore than that, and they will start TOWING CARS. I repeat, they will start TOWING CARS.
For lunch - I suggest people go in small groups when they are ready to eat. Hopefully some people will want to eat right away and some will wait until 2 or 3 PM. This is what I told Race Rock and they thought it was the best course of action; they will beef up there staff a little on Saturday to accomodate this.
There may be a surprise for you all on Saturday. Some details have to be arranged, but that's all I will say. I have no control over whether the surprise is there or not, but I wanted to give you a teaser. :D
The weather - yes, we live in Florida. It rains, and there's these hurricanes that strike from time to time. Barring torrential downpours Saturday morning here in Tampa, I will be coming to Orlando. Saturday afternoon could very well be just fine if Katrina is back out in the Gulf tomorrow night or early Saturday morning. Cross your fingers, and like your local weatherman always tells you, keep checking for updates.

So i got up today to come into work, and it was a PERFECT summer day. Looks like Katrina went WAY south and wont be much of a problem for us! (Hopefully) If I get up tommorow to wash the car and its this nice out, there is no reason NOT to drive your *** down there!
And a suprise! Wowie, i love suprises! :p

Yeah, even though Jerry is leaving at 2pm DON'T plan on hitting the road then. If the meet is going great and we have eaten' at the restaurant I'm sure we can stick around for a couple more hours, maybe we can go hit the go kart track around 4ish.

The best go-karts in town closed a few years ago. So did Malibu Grand Prix. Which one are you planning to go to? Fun Spot is the only one I know and they shut down if the tracks get wet at all.
