Hey, all....let's get a gathering together on either the 19th or 20th of Feb. Last meeting was in Pensacola, so let's go for a different location. Please post which date you are available and where you'd like to go.

Just got back form the CCP meet. It was fun. Cold again, but fun. Sitting in that viper was cool. Fit me like a glove, if only he'd left the keys..., and put the hood down so I could see. :D
Can't wait for spring/summer and getting a few more cars involved.

Not too bad for a first meeting of the Cool Cars of Pensacola (CCP), even with the cold weather. Saturday 5 Feb looks like it will be decent weather. We'll meet at the AutoZone around 8:00am and rally up to the car show around 8:30am. The show is on 9mile Road. (go up Pine Forest Rd....turn left on 9 Mile Rd, and it's less than a half mile going west).
All cool cars are invited to rally up to the show with us. If you plan to enter your car in the show, bring some $$ for the registration (I think it's $30 bucks).
All cool cars are invited to CCP meets every Saturday evening at 5:00pm (if weather is good). We meet for a couple hours and then rally to Sonic.

Yeah I finally got it back. Took them two days and when I got onto Okaloosa Island heading back home I heard and felt something funny with the car. Evidently I had picked up a nail in my tire, so I headed straight back to the dealer after adding 35 pounds of air to my Bridgestone. It wasn't my happiest day to say the least.

Check out the pics from the MOPAR association carshow/meet last weekend. Only two 8's, but man were there some nice rides. I'll have to post those pics as well.

regarding the meet on Saturday Feb 12th (night of the Loxely car show)
boringkajj, I was talking to a buddy of mine about the meet on saturday. he asked "were you the guys near the accident?"
"yeah, did you drive by?"
"kind of, I was out there with the fire dept."
He's a volunteer fire fighter. We should get one of the fire engines to show up at the meet...

Ok. The more the merrier. For all those who don't know....Cool Cars of Pensacola meets every Saturday evening (if good weather) at the Big Lots on Navy Blvd (towards Naval Air Station front gate). We meet at 5pm and go on a road run around 6:30pm and wind up at the Sonic on Navy (beside McDonalds). All vehicles are welcome. We've had 2 RX8's, 1 Viper, 1 Prowler, 2 TA's, 1 1950 Ford Police Car, and 1 "sporty" car. Cars and motorcycles, old and new, are welcome.
Gotta go wash my police car. The RX8 just needs wiped down. See you there.

Hello everybody. I just moved into the area. I used to have a 82 RX-7 before Ivan ( it was being stored here at my in-laws to I got out of the military). Just wanted to suscribe to check out the local car buzz. I am in limbo on waht vehicle to get for myself yet. Of course the RX-8 is in the running the other car I am thinking about is a 97 or 98 240sx. But first I need to get a job!

christi, we're going to meet next saturday at the big lots on Navy at 5 pm. Hopefully Keith and Amy will have their 8 back by next weekend. She flooded this past weekend, right before a car show. Haven't heard back if it went well at the service dept.
nazgul, good to have you aboard. :D There's actually a pensacola forum, it's mainly for the "ricier" side of the local car scene. But, burried beneath the bickering there's some good info in there. Somwhere.
A buddy of mine has a red 240sx, it's a nice ride. He just put an ethanol fuel system in to it. Puts out over 480 HP with race gas and the ethanol.

Hi all. As Chris mentioned, my RX8 had the flu. So far, so good. It flooded Saturday while preping for a car show. Pulled it out of the garage and turned it off...forgetting to let it run for a bit. I tried the unflooding proceedures in Mazda's service bulletin, but no good. I called the Mazda roadside service Monday morning at 6:00am and a flatbed truck showed up within the hour. Towing was free (the tow truck said AAA was paying the bill via Mazda). I didn't complain. I got to Sandy Sansing Mazda and they already knew my car was coming and was ready to start work. The guy at the shop desk said the de-flooding wasn't going to cost me anything. They're also ordering me the new dipstick and replacing my missing engine cover grommets and putting in the flooding notice in my owners manual (as directed by one of the service bulletins). They called later this afternoon and said the car was ready. I didn't get a chance to go get the car, so I'll be picking it up Tuesday. I'll let everyone know how it goes from there.
