im new to stewart... still in processing it blows lol im the stock-ish shinka riding around hope to be getting to see and know you all

 

ok. Car is acting up. Real bad idle. Throttle responce is horrible. Tried seafoam. Checked plugs. Any decent rotary mechanic's around that is good. Just started a new job and don't have the to time right now to trouble shoot it myself

 

shias2 - i had that same problem two weeks ago. Since the check engine light was on I had it hooked up to a computer. It said cylinder misfire or something like it. The mechanic suggested changing plugs. $160 for all 4, replaced them myself, no change. 2 days later the car straight up died on me. Had to get a tow from here to Savannah Mazda. They told me the same "misfire" suggested new coils and wires. so they changed those out at $640. Then they conducted a compression test. i guess if the compression test fails then Mazda will replace your engine for free, warranty or not. So right now I'm waiting for a new engine.

 

Crap!! I changed coils, plugs and wires about 2 months ago. Might try seafoam ad see if its lots if carbon buildup. If not that then might have to get a compression test. I have been drivig the he'll out of it. HARD!! Seems to help a little bit so im hopeing its carbon. Let me know how the engine turns out.

Guys, sorry we havent checked in in a while. Things have been crazy here lately!

Shiast, Mine did the same thing, dealer changed the coils plugs & wires, no change so they de-carboned it. Runs like a charm now.

Josh and I are up for a meet this weekend. I think he has a 4day. Saturday possibly?

 

Im up for a weekend meet. Would have to be sometime afternoon. Im working 7 days a week right now. Anfound the problem. One of my plug wires depined. Found a dealer that's knows. Here stuff. Did a compression test and im gettig a new motor in a few weeks.

 

found a meet on sat. at 930pm on Montgomery Crossing and Abercorn next to subway in savannah. it had decent cars and cool ppl. from there we went t
o a bigger car meet that had a bit more cars. ill probably be going again next weekend. my car was the only rotary out there so it be cool if we could get a bit more out there.
