Fun road trip!

Took my Titan over to Mississippi for the 4th of July weekend… Yeah I know its Mississippi, why would anyone want to take a road trip there, but I did. Had to visit Family and Friends. But anyway that’s not the point of my ramblings here.
The drive was superb.. With the Passport radar detector freshly installed, I felt safe enough to push it a little, but not too much. On the way there the most excitement was hitting 110 without even realizing it. You know how it is; you start a train of cars and just get into a zone of driving. Well next thing I know I see my speed climbing ...107...108...109. So I figure might as well push it one more over and hit 110, before the next batch of slow pokes came up over the hill.
The next bit of excitement came when I took 57 north from Ocean Springs to the big metropolis of Petal. That was a great drive through all those twisty 2 lane roads that M-DOT likes to call highways. I didn't push it though, because Miss. Highway Patrol likes to cruise the back roads like that.
The last high point of the trip was the ride back. First let me say I HATE RUBBERNECKERS! ...okay now that that's out of my system. Just past Tallahassee the traffic on I-10 comes to a screeching halt... screeching being the key word. Anyway after going between 0 to 10 mph for about 15 minutes...I come up to the point of the accident and it's a car that went off the road about 50 feet …OFF THE ROAD... i.e. not blocking any lanes. The dead stop is the fault of fricking rubberneckers. The about another mile up the road it's another dead stop. This time 30 minutes of stop and go...I cut off the first exit I come too. With a few clicks of a button...I find highway 90 on the navi and take a fast detour around all that mess. By the way did I mention how glad I am that I got the Navigation upgrade for my 8?
Anyway... the moral of this story is that the RX-8 rocks for long road trips and having the navi upgrade kicks that up a solid notch!

Thanks for listening to my ramblings....
