Yep, sign me up. I have not made it official yet, but will do so hopefully by the end of this month. I will only be there on Saturday, my pockets are not quite as deep as some peoples...: I will be on R compunds by then, my first event on them is the plan. SO that should be lots of fun.

This event will be the debut of the new and improved (rollcage and more) 8. Although it's not the RX8 it is an RX and it's got an 8 in it. As it looks the new setup should be 400/390 at the wheels. I hope to know that for sure within the next few weeks but right now it is coming along really well and looks outstanding.
This would explain my abscence lately. Every weekend has been spent in the shop putting the old girl back together and it has been a blast so far. I've had this car since '92 so we are kind of close. It's had every possicle engine config but a 3rotor and other than the supercharged 13b, it's always been fun but now it's real fun. I just finsished up the LS1 91 RX7 convertible and it made 350/357 and passes emissions! What a rush to nail it with the top down on these awesome days we've been enjoying.
By the way, one of the improvements to the old girl is a pair of MOMO race seats with 6 point harnesses. Anyone wanna ride?

Saw Charlies RX-7/Corvette Saturday. Dang fine looking machine. The roll cage is a work of art, the car is stripped of all non-essentials, the seats are sooooo inviting and the helmet was in the seat taunting me to sit in it and dream of the power this machine has. Should have taken my camera. Can't wait for this event and the opportunity to ride with him on the track. No clue how it's going to handle in the turns but I know one thing, this puppy ain't letting no one by him out of turn 7. Hope he's got lots of rubber.
OD, you REALLY need to come up for this one.

Hi cameron36. Love to have you join us. Keep in mind that this is not a race. It is a driving school. Big difference! Get in touch with Panoz and sign up. Join us at the GARX-8 Club E-Z Up.

Talked to Panoz this morning. Found out a little about the running groups. I will be in the C group because I've never run with the Panoz organization. There are pace cars (instructors) on the track with different levels of drivers. If you are a beginner you may be in a slower sub group. If you are a fast Vette, BMW, and Mustang type but are a convertible, you will have to run in this group C but may be in a more advance sub group. With these instructors on the track at all times, they will control your sub group as you progress. This is going to be fun!

And I will be doing RA with NASA in Aug. Rob was going to sign me off for solo the final session of CMP but he could not find James Ray to discuss before we got onto the track. I'm "certified" alright!
