uh oh, that is a nice brain bucket. Is that one up to the most current Snell ratings? You might want a neck support now, makes it easier on your neck. I want to know where to get the cool painted ones, kinda like TA has.

The % gets lower evry time I look at MSN weather. The car is ready, looks like Paul is gonna run "C" on Saturday and I'll have "B" on Sunday. If the weather doesn't cooperate I'll run the 8.

I can tell it’s getting really close to track day. The closer it gets:
- The heaver my foot is
- The more compressed my braking is at stop lights
- Seems people get pissed when I turn in late off the interstate onto the exit ramp and cut in almost passing them... don't know why it bothers them?
- I want to take my back seats out, put my DV Cam in and mount my nose mask and it's just Tuesday!
- Stopped to get gas today and wondered if I should run a tank of premix before I run my premix at the track just to get my car used to it.
- Argue with myself to keep from putting stupid labels on my car and helmet.
There's nothing left to do to my car for this event, Brakes, tires, fluids, minor mod (stainless brake lines) and a new helmet. Dang!!! Come on Saturday!
Funny thing this last weekend:
While cutting my grass with my riding lawn mower, I had to duck and dodge underbrush, briars and such so I got the wild hair to put my new full mask Bell helmet on and flip the clear shield down to help me through this difficult time. This was my opportunity to put my brand spanking new helmet on. Oh it is sweet. So I strap it on and the instinct was to reach for my safety belt... well there was none and then I started looking for the mic to put in my ear... that wasn't there either... so I grabbed the steering wheel at 9 & 3, put her in 5th and took off. Funny how my driving changed once I put the helmet on. Made cutting grass fun! I was raising hell cutting under trees and never got smacked in the face again.
My wife came home from working at the garden and saw me acting like a 12 year old and thought I'd lost my mind! It was really hard explaining the underbrush story convincingly.

Totally with you SilverEight!
Back when I had a riding lawn mower (Ditched it for a fully automated robot but that's another story..) I used to power slide it around the trees and try to balance the understeer (From those little front tires) while going around tight circles... And let's not forget: I also looked at my watch to see how I could shave seconds of a particular area of the yard and beat the pants of my neighbor.. You know, take a shower enjoy a relaxing Iced Tea while he's still mowing..
Once a racer, always a racer..
Have you ever seen the mower races on Speed? Pretty hilarious..

Now that's funny TA2!
When I was a teenager, I had a friend that customized his 3.5 hp B&S push mower by taking the muffler off and put a 6" galvanized straight pipe on it. He also painted the raised letters on the tires white. LOL! Oh **** this is funny! I need a beer!

I can picture a old push-mower the white raised letters and loud exhaust. The kid invented Ricing and did'nt even know it..
I have tought about suping-up and have suped-up a lot of silly things but never a push mower!!
Your friend was THE consumate Hot-Rodder and the grand-father of the Ricer movement!!

The Turkish Delight
I finally got my video uploaded where I spun out at turn 10 at Road Atlanta last time we were out there. I was chasing a supercharged Miata and an NSX. Passed the Miata, caught up to the NSX, and went into turn 10 too fast. I was a bit faster than the NSX and I made the mistake of letting off the gas and tapping the brake in order not to hit him. This sent me into a spin. Nothing was damaged except my ego. Enjoy.

Dang! That was close, Whew! That Miata was all over you. Looked like your instructor was grabbing for the wheel! LOL... he said "Too fast there".... like he had to tell you that!
That's just what I needed going into the weekend. Thanks!

Yea, kind of different this time around... two different tracks. I'm looking forward to the Panoz event. Talking with Charlie I understand the format is quite different than NASA. Seems to be a lot of lead follow to start off, but that's cool. There is a method to their training and this is a school , not a race. I wish I could drive on Sunday but I have too much to do getting ready for vacation.

I have a question about pre-mix. You prep your first tank of gas and refill at lets say at 1/4 tank, do you pre-mix the same proportion on the second tank. Seems you would put 25% less oil in the second tank full because of residual mix.
