Drove the 7 to the carshow w/LeeAnn driving the 8 today in this cool weather and I am stoked for the event to get here too. I let a guy drive the 7 that was one of the original design engineers on the Miata. I had not seen him in years and he was impressed enough that he wants to build one. Pretty cool, makes me proud.

Did you tell him to come out to the Panoz event?

That IS cool. Everyone that sees it wants one! Me included. Sorry we must have just missed you, Charlie. Met Chris there this morning to look at the cars. Some really awesome stuff. Maybe next month.

Sorry I missed youse 2 too. I got there about 9:45 and I think was one of the last to leave. This show is so cool because it is different every time and the variety is awesome. you guys see the twin turbo Pantera? Not to mention some wicked old American Iron and a sweet TR250.

Yes, that Pantera was awesome, NOX, too! (Like it needed it) I also liked the Murcielago too. Pretty outrageous.

Question

question...

what are the rules for passengers. I know I have to have my brain bucket, I will have long pants but what about long sleeves, are they required? and, do spectators and would be passengers have to pay a nominal fee to get in?

Long sleeves not required. I do believe I saw shorts last time but I think the rules state long pants. Short sleeves were in order as well. I will be wearing long pants, short sleeves and will carry my Long sleeves just in case. I don't recall any charge for spectators when I attended to shoot photos. I think you just tell them you are with someone driving. Not sure if you will need an armband to ride. I need to know because my brother (Robert) will be coming up from Waycross. I'll call and get the details.

All drivers and passengers must wear a Snell 2000 or better helmet. Helmets are available for rent for $20 per day from the Panoz Racing School.

Proper shoes must be worn, no sandals or open toed shoes. We suggest sneakers.

Drivers are responsible for the conduct and safety of their guests.

All passengers must be registered and have an armband. Passengers are not permitted to drive. Passengers must be at least 16 yrs of age. Those passengers under the age of 18 will be required to fill out a Minor waiver. This form will require the signature of the passenger’s parent and/or legal guardian.

very cool. I will have to dust off the old helmet, and hope it still fits.

my "oshitometer" needs a little recalibration before Roebling anyway. See you guys out there.

Besides me and your brother, any other spectators that we know of?

I talked with Scott at Panoz and this is the scoop:

Short pants OK
Short Sleeves OK
No charge to ride as a passanger but you will need to register.

I'm still wearing long pants.

LeeAnn told me that animal prints are back in this fall so all I plan to wear is my helmet, HANS, and leopard print SPEEDO. Actually, tomorrow night the old girl will be getting brake cooling ducts. Weather looks great for the weekend so tonight will be spent watching Road Atl "Drive It" . Gear bag is packed and may bring both cars, not sure yet if I want to scuff up the PS2's (Chicken **** excuse)
