GA RX-8 Club - Talladega Nights
Seems there is a group of us that would like to get together and go see Talladega Nights at the theater. Let's see if we can get a date and location set up. The theaters will probably be pretty packed the weekend of Aug 5th. Weekend of the 12th is NASA Road Atlanta but it looks like the weekend of the 19th or 26th is open. What do you guys think?

LOL... I've watched the trailers 10 times and still laugh my *** off. I'll do it again when I'm sitting in the theater. These days they start promoting a movie over a year in advance and buy the time it finally comes out, your either driven to frenzy or you are bored with waiting. I think in this case I'm in the frenzy phase but growing really tired of waiting.

I can't wait and Lee Ann says we're going this weekend. I've worked every weekend for I don't know how long other than the RA weekend so this weeknd is for r/r. I need to get together w/the group soon. I am feeling withdrawals.

OK, What theater are we going to choose? Of course I'd like The Mall of Georgia but I know that ain't gonna happen. So lets pick one as central as possible.

I say we can do the Mall of Ga Matinee and then all run the Suthernland and show our appreciation in their interest in our group. Maybe they will sponser a big tent at Barber next year if we can tell them we can get about a hunderd or so mazda's out there. Plus they may be able to flash our cars.

I like Matinee's... they are cheep! Like me! I can talk to Sutherlin and see if they are interested in something on the 19th. I know someone mentioned they were interested in something like that anyway. I frequent their location and they do know me so I don't have a problem stopping by and seeing if they would be interested in something. I can also see if we can reserve a group of seats at the theater. If you guys are interested, I can go ahead and purchase the tickets for those that are committed.

I am positive that my friends and I will go and see this before the 19th. Maybe if ya'll do something on the 19th after the movie I could stop by for that? Would that work out?

g0pher... can you give us a few details? I was wondering if they would do something like that. Passed by the Talladega track the other day when we went to the Barber Grand American and thought they would be haveing some kind of special event. Will it be with the cast?

A friend of mine came into work today trying to tell me about the movie. He was laughing so hard he was crying... he could hardly tell me about it. Said he laughed from the time it started till he left the theater.
