There have been alot of events planed for this group. Can we have like a calendar posted or something so I can see when everything is happening? I'm wanting to go with ya'll to a few of the events but I'm confused as to when they are all happening.

I see some of you guys are not on East Moon's RX8 map. Go to his thread (which is a sticky in the Multimedia/Phots section) and list your name so he can add you to it.

I did a screen capture of our area.
Phlash... yours needs to be updated.

Hello to everyone, I've just recently purchased my WB (8/6 to be exact) and just wanted to say hey to fellow GA 8 owners. One thing I have to say is that fellow 8 owners are extremely nice, every one that I have seen on the road has given me a wave, possibly some of them have been some of you. My previous car was a Camaro (yeah yeah you can rip on me) and most other Camaro owners were pretty stand offish. Anyways, I would like to participate in future events if possible. I look forward to meeting some of you!

starkey, we are always happy to see new members participating with us at events and online. Keep up with the SE forum and you should know what we are up to. I work in the Lawrenceville area so we are pretty close and obviously drive a Silver. I'll keep my eyes out for you as I always do for other 8's. We are a VERY active group participating in Autocross, NASA events, spectator Racing events like the Grand American and Petit Le Mans and just having fun like going to Andretti's for Kart racing. Welcome to the RX8 Club.

of course I do, I played all my little league years at Mt. Park, then on to high school at Shiloh. By the way, I am also an LP fan. Maybe we can meet up sometime, you planning on doing anything to the car just yet or gonna wait? You can catch me on AIM if you want to sometimes (jhuff1967).

Whatsup everyone? I just moved here to ATL 2 weeks ago from Oklahoma City (my previous screen name on here was OKC-RX8, obviously, I had to change it). Good to see the GA owners are pretty active (OKC was pretty dull-difficult to get other owners interested in meets and such). I'm off Moreland Ave, around Little 5 Points. I've seen a few other 8's around, but not too many. I'll check the boards regulary, as I am always up for events. I'm interested in going to Nopi as well, if anyone is planning to cruise up there (I think there is a thread for it, I'll check it out). Don't really want to bring the wife, so if anyone is planning on it, holla-

Gimlet, there's lots to do here and usually you can find someone wanting to do an event or outing. You have definitely found a great area for RX8 participation. Welcome to the Georgia RX8 Club! :D

Thanks, I look forward to getting together. On another note, can anyone reccomend a good Car Wash around here? I've had my wheels knicked before (on the tracks) and am somewhat leary. I'm also looking for a good Coin-Operated one where I can do it myself. Any suggestions would be appreciated-

OMG! NOT THE CAR WASH!
This is a do-it-yourself car! The chemicals in the water for most mechanical car washes will ruin the finish especially screw up a good wax job in a hurry. Save your car wash money for a hose, bucket, wash mitt, car wash soap, sponge for the wheels or another mitt and micro-fibers for drying.
I don't know any of us that use a mechanical wash.
IMHO and my two cents!

Man, after my bad experience, I always used to wash my car at home (Meguiars car shampoo, the works et al). Unfortunately my driveway here is tiny and I'm a bit concerned about the city water. A good coin-op has the spot-freee rinse, which is usually RO water and pretty good. Always stay away from the brush however (I bring my own mit).
Just curious-
