Damn, no can do on the 5th guys, I will be on a plane to Hawaii. But I will see when the next one close to here is, and work on doing it.

Wes, you have to go to tools-internet options-privacy and from there set your privacy slider so that your computer will allow cookies. People don't like them, because they keep a record of where you have been. Without telling Windows every website that you want to allow cookies on, that is the only way around it.

Sounds good. Do they set the cones to where the track is different each time or do they keep it the same when they are at the same location?

I would bet it would be different, but the other travis may know more. There were a LOT of DNF's this time, it was a joke by the end of the day.

Yes, each time is a totally new track. Same advice as before, get there early and try to learn the track by watching other people run.

I see Jamie and Whenson have signed up for the next AutoX. I'll see you guys out there. I will be running first, working second.

Also, when will Nabil be doing the next mountain roads run? I want to go too. Also, I hear the fuzz is out on the tail of the dragon lately.

Cool! Good luck with the turbo install. As far as I ahve read here, everything is cool, a long as you just stay within the normal parameters.

Well we'll miss you Nabil. Hope you can make some of the other ones. Yeah I should be getting the kit today and I'm taking tomarrow off of work to put it on. I hope it's done by Sunday. Knowing UPS they'll miss scan it or something and it'll get here like Tuesday or something. Oh well cross your fingers.

We need to start planning the next meeting that is not an auto x may be dinner or an event. Alan *** Automotive has a tuner nights function once a month with free food and guest speakers from time to time Junes was a rep. from Mothers wax. The next one is a ways off but it is something to think about.

This is true .. and that's a good idea.

I'm also talking to Chuck at Jim Ellis about finalizing their support for the club. Looks like discounts, membership card, magazine subscription (maybe), and who knows what else. They also want to hold a technical seminar for us and cater. The last time I was there they talked about even getting one of the MAZDA Japan Rotary Engineers based in the SE to present. I think that would be cool.

But you are right .. we need to get another meet together. Any other ideas? I'll see where Jim Ellis is at and how soon they could put this together.

Would someone mind showing me where I can look up the times from yesterday's autox event? I want to see how I ended up. I think my last run was in the 53sec range but I am not sure if I hit any cones. Not to bad for the first time and with a soaking wet track.

Man that was a blast racing in the rain! What's really interesting is that mine and Wes' time were both on the wet pavement. I know we could've both got better times in the dry but it was just awesome racing in the wet. Nothing beats a controlled drift in the rain. :D

Nothing like watching all the coneheads run like hell as you go sliding by :D just kidding. I kept my car in 1st the whole way until I hit the last turn thanks to Jamie's suggestion. I had plenty of power on demand for kicking my *** end out but I think I would have shifted to 2nd if I had a dryer course to run on. I think the 8's and that little CRX are the only cars that didn't have a tough time with the slalom at the end. I remember seeing pleny of S2000's and almost every corvette eat cones on that part.
I can't believe my whopping 135rwhp was able to hang with the guys that cranked out 180-190rwhp on the dyno. Well thanks for letting me get my excitement out. Now I can't wait for the drive home from work!

I really was impressed with the grip Wes had in the slalom... That was a very high speed set of cones in the wet...

I don't know if you guys remember, but teh only turn that threw me was right in the middle of the course. You go through the "off set gates" and then start a fairly high speed right hand turn... looking up you see poles and people while you slide. Made me uncomfortable there, but otherwise, yes it was fun!

Yeah that's where I had to work. Everyone missed it or hit those cones at least once when I was working. I almost missed it once b/c the rear wheels didnt want to stop sliding.

The thing that I like about Autocrossing is that my little MGB pushing 80 whp can run just as good times as some of these other cars pushing 180 whp. It's just fun no matter what you're driving. I did feel sorry for my friends in the slalom cones though. I had a great time, when's the next event and where? Hope to see more members there, I know my car club will be there in greater numbers.

Stock Bridgestone OEM 16" tires.
My tire pressure was 240kpa according to the handy air compressor that comes with the car. Why do that not give us guys in the U.S. an air compressor that reads in psi for us non metric english speaking folks?

no not yet thanks to UPS, but it'll be here this week so hopefully it'll be on this weekend. I'm also wanting to get those autoexe braces. Anyone know where I can find these? Oh, can someone help me figure out what class I'll be in this next go around? I've been looking at the rules and I still cant figure it out. I talked to some of the people there including Splan8 but I forgot what class they said I'd probaly be in.

Should have more grip with a higher profile tire and smaller wheel, right?
