I have done the phase 1 evo school and definitely suggest it but only for those that have done about 5 or 6 autox.

So, we met up and observed things at the divisionallevel. First one i have been to. No ride alongs were allowd and this is a 2 day event, so it was interesting to see what kind of times everyone had.

FTD was a little kid in a 125cc gokart. I think Kurtbob wound up with first place in STU today...

Splan8, thanks for the intro to Autox this morning at the SCCA SE Divisionals. I look forward to attending sometime when I can ride with you and possibly participate myself. This looks like a great way to learn about the limits of your car.

I finally know now... size doesn't matter! :D The bigger the car/motor doesn't necessarily mean faster. As Splan mentioned, the fastest vehicle there was a small GoCart. He was running in the 52-53 seconds range and the nearest car was in the 57 second range. Man that cart was screaming!

Kurtbob is in the blue RX8.

hey everyone, This past Saturday I was headed down to White Water and saw a mobile home wrecked on the interstate. Just wondering who the blue 8 was that was stuck in the huge line? Oh we also saw a red 8 right before we turned into the park. Anyone on the forum maybe?

Hey everyone, I'm done with the turbo install finally :D . Umm I did run into some problems with the seals and oil leaks, but they are taken care of now. THe only real problem I'm having now is that I lose boost and sparatically jump back into boost. No CEL as of yet and no ruff idle. I'm not really sure, but I might have a boost leak somewhere. Any ideas as to what it could be? I'm open to suggestions. Other than that this is a totally different car. It's crazy how much of a difference there is. I'm going to go drive a stock one later today and compare the two. As I said before everyone is welcome to go with me to get this baby tuned to about 10 psi at Dyno4mance in Calhoun probaly next week or so. I'd love to get everyone else's opinion of it.

P.S. Just pray that this thing doesnt blow up or anything. :o

are you going to join us for the Autocross in a couple of weeks? Sounds like you did well in the last one.

Umm all together including the bov, profec E-01, little dress-up stuff and tuning it cost me about $4000. A grand was nothing but add ons to the kit though. I got the kit from our very own rx8store.net

Well I think one of my coils went bad since it started smoking and smells burnt. The new one is coming in today so hopefully that's all that was wrong with it. I'm wanting to take this thing to get it tuned this weekend but my BOV hasnt arrived yet. I have a bad feeling that it's going to take some time to get this thing running good. I dont want to mess witht the tunning until I have some idea as to what I'm doing. I've tuned other cars before but not one as picky as the 8. I might be needing new plugs too, what are the problems associated with fouled plugs? I think that might be another reason why it's running bad now. And to think it was running pretty good at first too.

Travis,
Sorry for not responding until now. I didn't see the post you made until about a minute ago. I signed up for the autocross but I have yet to commit to it. If I don't already have things planned for that day I will definately be there.

Welcome to Atlanta. And if you want to join us for some club fun, welcome. We frequently Auto-X and do HPDE's at Road Atlanta and other tracks in the area. We also do some mountain runsand have been known to bang some go-karts at Andretti's, too. Bunch of great guys in our club that are true enthusiasts. Feel free to join in.

Originally from Philly, myself.

Hey Val,
That was me you stopped and waved to last Friday (wasn't sure if you recognized me or if that was just a curtious wave to a fellow RX8). That intersection is about 1 mile if that from my subdivision. We should get together sometime and try out that new restaurant called Phil's Place.

a little scary if you ask me. at least they can't reject you for mods, a recall has to be performed on any vehicle that it pertains to.
