WRX boy
My families prayers are with you and yours. I have been a RN since 1977, presently work as a case manager in a neonatal intensive care unit. To me there is nothing as stressful as having a young one ill in the hospital. All kinds of questions go through parents heads. Sometimes they get want they think is conflicting information. They want answers right now and their child smiling and playing again. They (on top of everything else) become totally exhausted by staying by the bedside, hardly sleeping etc. Hard times. God speed.

I just talked to Bill (WRX Boy) a little while ago. Their daughter is in the hospital under an oxygen rich environment and they are continuing to monitor her. She might be there as long as 2 weeks. He greatly appreciates the thoughts and wanted me to thank all of you for him. I'll talk to them again tomorrow evening and let you know if anything changes. Again, thanks a lot to all of you.

STF, I'll make sure he gets your number.

I'd continue to try to convince you that you want an RX-8, but I know deep down inside that you've already made up your mind. So, this is a preemptive congrats and welcome!

Thanks you all for the well wishes and prayers....I'm sure my little "Danica" will pull through. They are treating her illness as RSV, although she hasn't tested positive yet.

Dana, my fiance, thanks you all as well. According to her, I WILL be there the 28th.
She bought me sway bars, and I put the rear on Monday night....bye, bye understeer....so I REALLY can't wait to go now.

Hopefully I'll be there, I was really looking forward to meeting you all.

STF-thanks for everything, I may give you a ring when I have time.

Feel free to check out some of our pics if you want so you can see the little one....and everything else if you like.

Been there, done that! I don't wish that on anyone. My son had RSV at nine months old, it was pretty hairy for a little while. We think that is what has triggered the asthma he has to deal with now. On the bright side, he hasn't had an attack in years, he takes one little orange pill and night and runs and plays at 120% of all boy!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. see ya soon.

Wrx, sorry to hear that, and our prayers are that she gets better. RSV must be going around this year, a good friend of ours is currently dealing with it too. It keeps coming back, right now the little boy is better, and we hope he stays that way. All the best for you and your family, and we hope to see you on a track near us soon.

Oh, and Monday at 8 will be fine with me.

well my wide angle camera lens came in yesterday, and I think it is going to be a nice addition to the track collection. I have yet to put the mount in, I am going to do that this weekend, and see how the video turns out.

8 more days, 7 if you figure I am going over on Friday....woooooohoooo

Phlash, have you decided if you are coming down Friday night, or just making the trek on Saturday?

AWESOME!

- Start up, I was nervous as a little school girl as the throttle revved so quickly.
- I pulled off and had to shift gears much faster than before 9K RPM was almost instant.
- Shifting was smooth and the revs held high. I think the Redline fluids helped the feel.
- Rev matching was much easier and cleaner as the blip was instant. Previously seemed a sluggish response.
- I don’t have time to look at the tach now. Seems best to go by sound.
- Makes the car feel lighter or more responsive.

Charlie’s advice was that this is the single best mod you can do for performance and I believe it. I am very excited and pleased with the change and can’t wait to really put it to use. My drive to and from work is very limiting and I only have a few places to test it and they are usually crowded. Oh well, one week to go!

I got to drive his again today, and it is not fair how fast the engine spins up with the flywheel. It may hae to be done before we all go to RA. My car felt slow when I got in mine, and it felt fast on the way over there today.

Yeah! Just got a call from the T-shirt place. The GA RX-8 club shirts are done and ready for pickup! I'll go by there today on my way home from work and pick them up. I'll post pictures of the finished shirts this evening.

I'll bring them to TGPR!

I'd love to, but I don't think so. I'm too far away to make a day trip like that. I'll be putting on my Hawk pads though, so I'll be thinking of you guys. We'll at least be doing the same things at the same time, just at different locations.

It's like a long distance relationship.... we could call each other and ...... well, nevermind.
