Great guys, Thanks, I recieved one today from TR, and I think there is one more in there.

I am SO siked about this, I can't wait. Someone, promise me a swap in their car for mine. I REALLY need to feel the rx8 chassis again. I also want to play with the corner-weights on one, with coil-overs.

Dave, I would love for you to drive mine so I can see how it handles with someone who really knows what they are doing. It should give me more of an idea what my car can do. My mods are not as extensive as most of these guys. RB Sways is all you gonna get on mine.

is that a hint?

do you have the ability to weigh a car and then corner weight it. because i would be interested in being the guinea pig on that.

You can adjust each coilover up or down to swing more or less weight on a particular corner. This is done to try to get even 50/50 front/back, 25/25/25/25 all corners, or whatever weight distribution someone wants.

I understand the concept, but dont you have to be able to weigh the car though? I have only read how it was done in GRM, and they had a set of scales, that had one under each wheel. Does someone own one of those, or have access to them, cause they aint cheap.

Yes, you are correct, most folks will need scales, but, um, well, after 15+ years, I am pretty good without them. I setup my Evo without them, and then find where it is when I am done. Having used the Flex system, I know how many turns on the suspension is accountable for how much weight.

Ask any of the guys who were at Roebling, I am pretty good moving weight, and making a car handle. I just wish the Falkens wouldn't have finally bit the bigone. I was turning times 4 seconds off of the race cars of equal power, running 400+ pounds heavier, and running on street tires with not 4 not 5, but 12 days of tracking. Nabil and Phlash will tell you, I am not easy on tires .

However, I will make suggestions, and teach you how to do it. So, when you autocross or track again, you will know how to move the weight, making the car better for you.

That is what instructors do...........

It will be like a Sunday drive......however, the last guy I told that too, well, he found that 105 through turn 3 at Roebling in the rain, in a full drift, passing a 996 Carrera S, on the outside, was a bit much. .

ok, that might get a little wet spot on the front of my LONG PANTS , which I will not forget to bring. But if it is your car you are doing it in, I dont know that it would really bother me. if it was in my car, I would be the whimpering little girl that phlash turned into. Fear of bodily harm is one thing, but fear of loosing my car is another thing entirely. Something wrong with that logic, I know, but that is how it is.

I may even bring those big *** pants that I had at RA, just for the fun of it, and a few more zip ties to go with them.

I really am looking forward to this more and more every day. I have been getting used to the new suspension setup. It really does make the car feel completely different, and I don't have it that firm, and have not really pushed it a lot. But it is very different.

After Roebling, Dave tells me I'm close....He tells me I may want to shift a little more to the rear for some more bite. He also stated to me that with the setup I have (the one that Charlie and Travis have now ALMOST copied) DSC has an issue with and that I would probably do better with it off.....

Dave,

I finally got your address, You'll have funds soon....Maybe paypal for everyone next time????

Well, guys....my 8 got dyno'd today, and well, I was a bit off on my estimates. At LOW boost, at the wheels, it did, 282whp . That was on a Mustang dyno, which reads very low, acutally, they said it was closer to 300whp. Now, they are going to insert the cams (experimental cams), and start tuning the car. They are going to tune the car for 18psi, and then for 22psi (One Lap setup). I am hoping for 325whp, when it is all said and done. That should equate to @360whp on a two-wheel dyno-jet.

i cant wait to watch that thing go around the track. should be cool. i am sure you are dying to get behind the wheel, as we all are. Good luck getting all you can out of that little engine. It is amazing what can be extracted.

I will have my good digital video there to record in stereo. This reminds me of when I did the Charles Hill shoot and that has turned out to be my best and most viewed videos to date. I think this has potential of being another awesome vid.
