Thanks guys for getting this done. I have some money for this purchase. We need to get it to the person who is paying for the banner...

 

Since I work less than a mile from there, I'll pick it up unless L8 wants to come by an pick it up. I requested the edges be sewn which is an additional $25 over the price L8 got. So the total should be around $115. I don't think that includes tax. I'll get back with you.

 

I can take care of it if need be. At some point, we need to figure out a way to collect some funds from the usual suspects, to make up for the difference in actual cost, and what we have in the fund.

On a side note, one thing we also need to consider, is turning the easy up that silver has, into the club easy up. We can get the logo and all put on it, and as a club would obviously need to buy it back from silver. It does not seem fair to make it a club item, funded by an individual.

On another side note, if we need a place to store some of this stuff, I have a 10'x10' storage unit hat has ample space. That way no one has to use up valuable garage space for this stuff.

Just ideas, talk amongst yourselves.

L8, you pick up the Banner since you have the storage space. Haaaa, I think you just became the club Quartermaster by default!

I appreciate the consideration on the easy-up. May I suggest we wait till after a few more events and be sure it is something everyone wants to add. If it's something we can't live without then I'm OK with what ever ya'll want to do. The kitty can't handle it right now anyway.

I will email Kevin again tomorrow, and have him let me know when it can be picked up, get it paid for, and get pics up once it is done.

 

well, the banner is done. I will be picking it up on Monday, and will post pictures up after I get it.

yep, banner looks good, I will take a picture of it tonight when I get home, and post it up for all to see. I am glad we got this done, I am sure we will get a lot of use out of it.

 

well, here is the finished product...



It looks really good, is nice and sturdy, and we should get a ton of good use out of it.

We will need to come up with a fair way to collect a few bucks from everyone, to make up the difference from what we got back from the Barber trip, and the total cost. We only need to come up with about 30 bucks, so between all of us, that should not be too hard.

BTW, I still owe you for that calendar. Slipped my mind.

Banner looks great. I'm in the same funds gap too but can probably muster up a small contribution.

I guess what we need to do, is just set a dollar amount, less than $10, get everyone to send it to TA, and anything left over after the gap for the banner, will just remain, and be used for our next event, to do whatever we all feel needs to be done.

 

We can do it via paypal if you guys want... All we have to determiine is $$ amount. We can post it on the garx8club site as well. I think $5/pp will cover it and give us a few bucks in the bank to build on over time. I want to remind everyone that our trip to Barber is in the planning stage. If you know anyone that is planning on attending, even if they are non-RX8 club people, they should get their tix through us so we make the sales commission. The advantage is they will get a discount on the tickets anyway while we get a small commission. More details as they become available

 

Sounds good to me, I keep forgetting about Barber again, that will be fun, I will be doing both days for that this year.
