Hey Chris,
I thought you might be interested. Good to see you are.
I guess we need to look at green fees and location.
Woodmont looks pretty nice, I have not played there. After 12 the GF is $69. It si located on Highway 20, west of 400.
I am playing Trpphy Club of Atlanta on Friday, I think it is $49, but that is the weekeday rate. It is off Windward at 400.

Awesome, I've not played in 3 years but would love to hit a 3 iron off the tee. Count me in. Don't worry, I'll pick up instead of beating the hell out of the trees. :D

Hell yea, I suck big time and haven't hit a golf ball yet this year.... but I'm in. I have a coupon book with a TON of 2 for 1's at clubs located in or near the Canton area...
Count me in - one request though... Saturday morning please? I can't really go any other day, unless it's later in the day on Sunday... but that's tough to schedule with Church in the AM.
Thanks - hope we get out there...

Sounds like we have 5, I would like to see us have two foursomes if at all possible. I can play wherever, my course would probably be a haul for you guys, all the way out 78 to snellville, about 20 miles due east of Atlanta. Saturday mornings work for me, just not next week. I was thinking two weeks to give some people some planning time.....

Hey guys, does anyone have a preference on what course to play? We are a couple weeks out still, but it would be a good idea to go ahead and get all of this finalized. Woodmont looked good to me, I have not played there. I have only played a couple of courses around here.
Suggestions?

-my place is just really busy on saturdays and sundays
-and we just punched
-and they are doing work to one 9, re-doing a green, so there is a temporary one
-and some other stuff going on
this is what he said the problem at his course is right now, we have been on IM trying to figure this out. I am going to look at a couple courses, and see what kind of rates we can get.

Would be perfect, but the course is going through some changes right now, so we have a temporary green and some moved tee boxes. Really wouldn't get the full benefit of my course, but we can go back there later after the renditions are done. It will be a really great course after these changes. Throads and I are combining our vast course knowledge, aka LMTT.com, to come up with a good place to go. We'll give you guys some options to choose from soon.

I used to play this course all the time, Apple Mountain. It's a wide open course and is a bit forgiving. The kind I need! :D It's around Clarkesville so we would be headed up to the foothills just above Gainesville. May be out of the way for some of you but a fun course. It was never crowded.
I like Lake Lanier for water and Chateau Elan for a little primier type golf.
When the decision is made and we are on the number one flipping the tee to see who goes first... it will not matter! Golf is Golf unless it's hard clay and sparse dead grass.

For those interested in playing, what woudl you consider a reasonable green fee. Most course around the Atlanta area are going to be $50 or more. I really wnated to figure out where we are going to play, so that we can go ahead and book a couple tee times.

I like $35... but I will take what ever we decide! :D
I have a suggestion! There is a GREAT place in South GA called Little Ocmulgee State Park, Wallace Adams Colf Course, one of my favorite courses. It's a sleeper, never busy and has cottages right on the course. It's cheep ($34 including cart) and only a 2.5 hour drive from Atlanta. We could drive down on Friday evening after work spend the night, wake up right on the course and play one or two rounds if we like. I believe they even have package deals. If this is of interest, I will look into it in more detail. Let me know if you would like to discuss further.
PS:
For you guys that are headed down to Savannah, you will be passing by the exit off of I-16 that goes to this state park. It is the McRae/Little Ocmulgee exit after Dublin.
PSS:
Package price does not include group speeding tickets?
