does anyone know if any of this was achieved and will we be able to do this type of thing?
"2011 Mazda Corrals Posted: 08-09-2010, 7:29 PM EST We are currently working on the Mazda Corral for 2011. 2010 has been a great year for Mazda owners as well as Grand-Am racing. We have led the car counts at Mid-Ohio, VIR and Lime rock and we are planning on doing it again.
We are implementing a few more ideas that Mazda owners are truly going to love. Here is what we have i store for next year, starting with Daytona.
1. Crewmember for a day/weekend-we started this program with SpeedSource(Props to Sylvain Tremblay) where we have added 3-4 Mazda owners to each of the teams to assist in the pits, with tire changes, fire bottle, deadperson(since wife is the deadperson, i have to be PC) and lollipop. This has gone over well and we have had discussions with Team Sahlen and Freedom Autosport and they have responded that they want tp be a part of the program. I am still waitingon responses from Racers Edge and Dempsey Racing.
2. We have enlisted the services of Juha Lievonen to do tech talks with our amateur photogs and he will also give tips on where to get the best shots at the various tracks.
3. We will also be hosting several charitable events this year at our corrals. I will have further details, as we get with the various teams, tracks and Grand-Am to finalize things. I know at Mid-Ohio we aer going to host The Make-A-Wish Foundation, so stay tuned for more.
4. We will have particpation from Mazdaspeed Motorsports and Mazda USA. More swag for the Zoom, Zoom Nation.
5. We have secured sponsorship from some of our aftermarket cmpanies.ting a huge cook out at the 24 Hours of Daytona. So stay tiuned for more updates on who will be sponsoring what event.
6. I have asked Grand-Am to come out and do a tech talk and show our membership on how to detail our vehicles. They are a great sponsor, with great car care products and we need to thank them for their continued support.
7. Car Show-Yes, at every corral, we are planning on hosting a car show!! The judges will be the Mazda Teams drivers and crews. We will have them select the best Mazda 6, 5, 3, RX-7/8, etc. At the end of the weekend, they will pick a best of corral for that event and at the end of the season, Grand-Am marketing will select the best Mazda overall.
We will have other awards as well, furthest driven, biggest fan (who attends the most races) not to worry, my wife, myself and Team Ohio cannot win those awards) and so on....
These are just a few of the things we are working on for next year. It should be another great season of racing in 2011 and a great year for Mazda to lead the way once again at the various venues. Please feel free to add your ideas and suggestion.

go to mapquest and enter this destination for us to meet at.
20505 S Dixie Hwy, Cutler Bay, FL 33189
It's Southland Mall. We will meet in the parking lot of the mall nearest the Mercedes Benz Dealership. I would like to leave this location at 8:00am. Ill lead the cars so that i can take us through the backroads in the event the main roads are packed and/or backed up so we can arrive in decent time.
