I wont be able to make this weekends race due to the calling of SC's beaches.

I am afraid if I start to take this too seriously I might start to spend too much time and money. STU will be enough for me for the time being. Steet tires, and cars that if I get better, I might be able to compete with. Nabil ran STU last time out, and he was only about 2.5 seconds off first. SO it will be fun, one way or another.

I think a cheap (light) set of 17" wheels and tires dedicated to autocross (or whatever you like to do) is doing you a favor.

Both sets of tires last longer and you can buy good all season tires for the 18" wheels and competitive tires for your other wheels. They don't have to cost a fortune either, you can buy bling for the street and ugly crap for the course. Also, there is a gearing advantage to using smaller wheels (height) for autocross.

Plus, you can always sell your extra wheels.

As for the flywheel, just remember there have not been any recorded protests in the last few years at all. Besides, I wouldn't really think that mod alone is worth moving to SM. Stay put, and unless you really want to, don't worry about the flywheel. It's a minor discrepency.

Yeah, I kind of agree with the 3 to 4 maybe 4.5, I don't think you lost all your momentum there, but it was uphill so regaining that ground probably put you back a little more.

Anyone not have the rear bar that holds the spare (and a spare)?

Mine is free if you want it.
