I picked mine up from Tom Bush on July 28th. Sunlight Silver GT 6 speed. Had NAV and rear wing spoiler put on. Later added fender strakes, exhaust finishers and Sunguard tint. A little disappointed that the exhaust finishers are a little hard to see at certain angles. Waiting for my clear sidemarkers to come in from rotaryextreme. Got my Zaino in the mail, probably do that next week. About 420 miles on the car. So far I love it, no air conditioner problems with recirculate on (it's so humid outside)...in fact when it rains I have to turn it down a notch because it gets so cold. I live in East Hampton in Jacksonville and work downtown in the Modis building. The car is kept in the garage and luckily I have a monthly parking spot at work under the building with a brand new E500 right next to me (4 to 5 feet between each car). Definitely don't have to worry about dings at work. The only other RX-8 I've seen on the road is a black one with rotary accents driving downtown. How about you?

Mine is still exterior stock. Tell me more about your window tint (where, how much, how well...). I live by the Super Walmart on Atlantic by Kernan. Did I see you at the Gervin Home Depot a couple days ago? I have almost 400 miles on it. It seemed to get a little more torque after close to 300 miles. Maybe the seals... My first tank was 16.1 mpg (93 oct from Gate). We should start a club? Thanks

Sorry I couldn't get back an answer sooner. We left last Friday to visit my wife's parents in Boone, NC. In fact, driving around Sorrento Skies in Boone I actually saw a silver RX-8 parked in someone's driveway! Anyway, I got my tint from Clear Impressions on Beach Boulevard. The owner's name is Sean and you can look up their number in the phone book. He installed 32% Charcoal Solargard all the way around. Price out the door was right around $150. I just installed the clear sidemarkers. It took less than 5 minutes to install and they look great. I think I'll splurge on the Stealth bulbs next. As for your sighting, it wasn't me. I haven't had the guts yet to park this baby at a Home Depot. Seems every car I get ends of getting dinged pretty good in a Home Depot parking lot.

I took 1st delivery in Jax, July 16. It's red with all black leather inside (only one like her allocated to Bush and Mazda City). I live off San Pablo between Beach and Atlantic, and saw a silver 8 zoom by last week heading south on San Pablo. Other than a quick glimpse of a black 8 in Atlanta 3 weeks ago, first time I'd seen one on the road.
I bet Boone was FUN!!! in your 8 Planman. I took my old '88 RX7 there many moons ago and I had a BLAST with the twisties. YeeHaaaaw!!!
I gotta get some strakes, they look pretty good and seem pretty easy to install, how about it Planman, did you DIY?

Was your car parked up at Winn-Dixie on Beach and St. Johns Bluff Saturday, Aug 17th? Only saw the rear sticking out as I drove past.

P.S. Don't forget the RX BBQ on Sept. 20th! http://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=211669

That was not me. I would like to go to the BBQ. How many cars do you think will be there? What is your best mpg on a tank? I just got 17.1mpg, my best at around 700 miles. Talk to you later.

Being that my TII is modded, I'm lucky if I get 210 miles to the tank--15mpg. We usually end up with between 30-40 cars. From race-ready first gen 7s to highly modded 3-rotor third gens. Sometimes other exotics will hear about the BBQ and show up...Supras, NSX, 300-350z.
Tom Bush Mazda has been very nice in supporting our meets and will hopefully bring out an 8 for the next one.

Mostly BBQ but later that day there is a monthly meet in the beaches area with several different cars (hooters at Beach I think? not 100%) and we plan on cruising there.

Well, I went up to Tom Bush yesterday and test drove an 8. GT with nav all wrapped in Titanium Grey skin. I have to say, it is a GREAT package. I'm making my decision today...I'll be keeping my 7 too.

P.S. Sorry I missed you guys at the BBQ, I was kind of obligated to lie in bed at the hospital--pesky hereditary heart problems! :D
