Last night's August SCRX-7/RX-8 meet
Hi guys. I'm Reese from the SCRX-7 club. I had the opportunity and pleasure of meeting Scott_the_sock and Racer_X-8 last night at our monthly meeting in Columbia.
As Racer mentioned in another thread, we were happy to have an infusion of new blood to the club. In my opinion, we all had a prety good time. We started at Fuddrucker's on Bush River Rd, and after some good eatin' we moved on to Frankie's Fun Park for some video games, laser tag, go-karts and general fun.
Hopefully we didn't make a bad impression on you two and your families. :D
To those of you who didn't/couldn't make it, we would be more than happy to meet with more of you. I haven't had much time to think about it, but what do you all think of creating a SC Rotary Car club as opposed to having two separate entities? I figure that there is power in numbers, and if/when we decide to do track-type events, it would be less costly with more people going in on them.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi to those we met last night and extend a formal welcome to those of you who weren't able to be there to come out and meet with us. Our planned meets are on the first Saturday of each month, usually around 7pm unless something special is worked up.
The September meet will be slightly different, because some of us will be attending Sevenstock (yay!) while the others are planning to go up to Carowinds.
Feel free to get in touch with me via PMs on this board or RX7club.com. I have the same identity on both. If you prefer email, it is white87tii@sc.rr.com .

Hey there Reese. Sorry, didn't see this until just now. Good to see you over here
Good thoughts there about an SC Rotary Car club... think maybe we should give it some time to develop? If both we all really get together a lot in the future, that move might come more naturally.
Hope to see more posts here from you and the others! And you know, I go to your place from time to time...
For those who are reading this and don't know Reese, he's one of, if not the main man, in the SC RX-7 group - he is a co-founder & a main organizer. We talked to some great length about stuff and he knows a lot. Good guy.
Here's a website of his doing... www.scrx-7s.com
