I hear that...in fact now that you mention it - since I started using the triptronic and using it to brake before actually hitting the brake - the dust has settled....thanks. Also thanks for the tips on the dealership visit. Hope everyone has a great Monday.

wow. you've been just itchin to get back to posting, haven't ya MyLadyDeb? ![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
As far as the recalls go the only one that you should concern yourself with is the passenger airbag recall. The one for the dynamic dampener is for MT's only.
And for the L flash, it's stated by mazda to be a fix for the flooding problem. Lots of people seem to be trying to get this reflash, but I'm in the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" camp.
If by Palm Beach Mazda you would be refering to the auto mall on military just south of gun club there's a few things you should do...........
#1 go there for WARRANTY WORK ONLY. They charge a rediculous ammount for parts and labor. Even then they may take a long time. Their service isn't bad. I'm happy with how my tranny turned out, but it was very costly and time consuming and I feel that if I had gone to a different dealership it would've been different. Besides, napleton should be closer to you in Jupiter off indiantown rd a bit west of military.
and if you're gonna go anyways......
#2 while you're waiting, go to the used car showroom. The white RX7 I traded in in OCTOBER is still there as far as I know. :D
#3 Stop over at the toyota dealership and say hi to my friend Allen. He works in the service area over there, and should be in the first service booth. He owns a 1st generation RX7, and is a very helpful and nice guy.![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
#4 I had Ray as my mazda service co-ordinator. He was generally pretty helpful. If you would like to call him and ask questions or to set up some service (they will not set an appointment for an oil change, but the recall should be no problem) I would be happy to give you his number.

So many roads to ride...

Hi there. It was a blast running with paradigm this weekend. The first run was as I expected, but the second....well. Funny seeing RXG8R with the fam! That was the first time I'd seen the car w/ strakes and mudguards.....SHARP!!!! And there was a green/black one cruising south where we all converged....I bet that guy was surprised to see two reds and a black 8 in a row!!! I've been reading the comp section, and the 3rd gear run sounds interesting.......

Had a great short run with a red 8 this afternoon northbound turnpike from the toll to glades road. Got upwards of 105mph slicing thru traffic. To make it sweeter there was a corvette just trying to keep up.
Northwood University (near military tr and okeechobee) is having thier annual car show this weekend. Im heading over Sunday, if anyone is interested in meeting.

para: Ahm ready to rumble. Still havent had time to see what my issues are with the stage1 (doesnt seem to be making much power after the L flash, been talking to Maurice about it, resolution still in the air), or money for that matter, but I am willing to get my *** handed to me.
BTW, I tried out a car with a tanabe front sway bar and holy **** people. You need a beefier front sway bar. Seriously. The body roll is almost gone with it and the car feels soooo much nicer.
Maybe get the RB one with the endlinks :D

Hi Guys....did we start an April thread yet? Didn't find it. Well, took my first long trip with my RX-8 - went to Gainesville to visit my son UF....in fact I'm here now. Guess what...enjoyed the ride - had it up to 105 and really enjoyed the ride. Guess what - 2 miles outside Gainesville - where I know they love to hide - passed a trooper who clocked me at 87 - got him to bring it down to 84 - my first speeding ticket since 1975. I'm soooooo unhappy. I was having such a good time too. But more importantly I have a question/problem? I noticed when I redline it in 2nd (remember I have the automatic) it suddenly starts to clack and knock when I get over 5500-6000 rpms - is this normal? Am I pushing it too far in 2nd? I'm so new at this I just don't know - should I be worried? Thanks for any help - sheepishly yours - Debbie - lol
