Here it is.... A thread just for our meet this month. I am really looking forward to meeting the rest of you. So lets get some participation on this!

 

I am definitely in and don't mind driving anywhere from Miami to W. Palm. Who else is in??

 

I'm in as well. Where is it going to be held? How about a central location. Broward?

 

We haven't decided on a location yet. We are still trying to get some feedback as to where everyone thinks a good central location is. I live in Broward county so having it in Broward is great for me! What does everyone else think?

 

I have tentative plans for that weekend but I would drive as far as Broward if we can get a crew together. I dont have suggestions on a location as I am still pretty new to the area.

Broward... Ft lauderdale maybe on the beach ( AIA in ft lauderdale) I know a great pizza place with pizza that is pretty close in taste to new york pizza.

Pizza sounds good... Is this on las olas blvd, maybe somewhere around there... Saturday night will be a better option for me.... I work in south dade by the falls so it will be a long shot for me on a friday night....

I am familiar with Broward and Palm Beach. If we are having a big turn out, parking around A1A might be difficult. Not saying I dont want to cruise down there. I had originally kinda of thought more of a bar(pool hall/bowling alley) with a big parking lot so we can chat inside or out.

There is a nice sized lot at the Davie Ale House. It is centrally located and should be easy in and out (close to I595). I say we do this one there. I was thinking the 22nd late afternoon/early evening. How bout it?

Tower Shops is a good place. It's located just south of I-595 and University Drive. It has Ale House, Miami Subs, Home Depot in the Shopping Center. I don't know if you guys know they have a huge meet there on (every) Friday Nights. Different car clubs go out there and meet. It's a mix of cars, classics, imports.. and many others. It's pretty cool.

 

Here are directions:
Take 95 or Turnpike to 595. Head west to University Dr. Make a left at the light. Head south under overpass and it will be on your left hand side.
If coming from 75 or Sawgrass...head east on 595 to University. Get off and make a right at the light. Then make and immediate left.
The Ale House faces the street and there is plenty of parking behind it. Lets say 7pm.

 

Yeah Tower Shops has a weekly car show, as said before there is a mix of all types of cars. The Ale House does get pretty packed itself even without the crowd from Towers, the people at the show just add to it....you will be waiting A WHILE for a table. Just giving you a heads up.

That is what made me choose this place. But I thought for our first meet we should be a bit lower key so everyone can meet and greet. I remember it being pretty crazy (this was a few years ago) friday nights there with police and all. Plus Fridays are hard on me with work.

 

As far as I know, the Tower Shops plaza was bought out and is now under new ownership. New ownership that doesn't want the friday night car shows there anymore. I'm pretty sure there are no more friday night gatherings there. Pico, since you've been elected the organizer for this meet I'd suggest giving the ale house a call and at least letting them know ahead of time that we plan on having a big group of cars & people for a meet.

Good heads up. Will do. Dont think it should be a prob since it will be a small gathering and Ill let them know it wont be a weekly thing.

Davie Ale House sounds like a great idea. It is pretty centrally located between Miami & W. Palm so hopefully we can get a pretty good turnout.
So the time is set at 7pm? That works for me. Is anyone else bringing wife/girlfriends?

 

There is also a nice pool haul across the street at gadsby's or the pine island shopping center where the AMC is. Thos could be good spots if you dont want to deal with the Towers crowd.

Bahama Breeze on pines road would be a good spot too they have a huge parking lot there.
