Mazda Rotary Car Club of Alabama (MRCCAL) HELP
I've tried to contact Herblenny about MRCCAL (as he, apparently, is the current president) via PM, the forum's e-mail option and various addresses he left on the forums. It's been a few weeks and I haven't heard anything back.
If anyone has any information (a website?) on this group, I'd really appreciate it if you would share.
Or if there are any RX-* owners in the B'ham area that do their own thing, I'd be interested in some social gathering.

Many of the members just got back from the Revolution. I haven't heard of anything planned so far of May/June other than Rev It Up in the ATL. There is usually a monthly meeting. There were several activities in April. Hang on and watch this forum, someone will get back to you.

We need to have a meet/greet sometime in june.
Maybe the Sat before Father's Day.
Let's all flood someplace like Trussvile Mazda and get the M flash.
This would freak out the service guys. Or just get BBQ at the place in front of the Target in Trussville.

M Flash is a bad idea... For one, not all of the MRCCAL guys drive 8's (and I think the '7 guys forget that not all will be driving '7s), so that would exclude some.
Secondly, I went to Trussville Mazda a few Saturday's ago, and the-guy-who-looked-like-he-was-in-charge-of-the-tech-department-but-not-a-tech-guy told me that no techs were there and that it would take SIX HOURS to get the flash done. I called him on it (since I'd heard it only takes 10 minutes). He said to come back around 4:00 PM on a weekday. Since I work for a living, I reckon 4:30 will have to do the next time I can get off work at 4:00. Anyway, since we probably wouldn't have 6 hours to spare , I think Jim 'N Nicks would work out better.
Anyway, I don't think we can make plans for everyone, but it sounds like a good suggestion, whether or not it is an MRCCAL sanctioned event or not.

I work also. I takes an hour to get to Trsvl Mazda and then nothing happens after 3 pm regardless of what day it is.
Maybe we can just get the little blue stickers and then fillup at JimnNick's til we don't fit in our cars.

If anyone is around BHM and up for (almost) anything (almost) any time, send me an e-mail in advance. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the local 7/8 owners.
If anyone has heard from Herb, since he is back from Revolutions, apparently, tell him I might be interesting in doing the website, since that is one of my hobbies / my job, for the sake of getting some place to hold information.

Opps.. I'm sorry about my lack of posting on the RX8 forum.
I been super busy with travelling and hadn't had too much time to get on the board. And in Month of June, I'm going out of town almost every weekend (NYC, SFO, ATL, and Dallas) for weddings and vacations.
Just to keep you guys updated on some events..
I have one more space for MRCCAL road trip to Gotham Racing in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Trip will take place on June 25th - 27th.
Every thursday around 5:30PM to 7PM.. I try to make it out to Next Level Performance and chit chat with some local import owners (since its only 5minutes from my work).
Our Next MRCCAL meet will take place in Huntsville, AL... As of exact date, we haven't decided. It will be sometime in July. Maybe July 10th..
