I don't need any spare parts. Thanks.
Do you know of any RX-* groups in MS? I am near the coast.
I have the latest 8 in the state, at least for another day or two I am sure.\
Are you getting a new version or giving up?

I have bought my last Mazda. My first two were great cars but not the RX8. I bought it from Gray Dog***Mazda in Jackson part of the ASSbury Automotive Group. First my salesman left the dealership, then the manager left, then the dealership gave Mazda the franchise back. I called and talked to one of the former salesman and he said Mazda went downhill when Ford started getting involved.
My a/c never cooled the July Mississippi heat, and I took it back to the dealership two days after purchasing it. He said "its fine" but you can take it to another Mazda dealer if you want to get a second opinion. I did this and they said there was a problem with the expansion valve and ordered the part. When the part came in I took it back for them to repace it. While there they scratched the fender up and then told me Mazda had refused to authorize them to replace the expansion valve. While at the dealership with a two week old, scratched up, non coling a/c car I was on the phone requesting Mazda to take my car back. I had to send Mazda my request in writing to purchase the car back as a lemon since it had been in the shop on three different occasions for repair complaints and no satisfaction. I was tickled to death when Mazda sent the buyback horsepower letter and told me they would buy it back and refund my money including purchase price, documentation fees, sales tax, tag fees and optional accessories that were installed on the car. Mazda tried to make me keep the car but finally in December, after five months of ownership they refunded my money.
At one time Mazda built a good car.

Sound like a bad experience. Was that in Jackson?
My car has been great. As it has been pointed out the AC is weak for the south. But my car has been comfortable up to 80f so far. I guess I'll see in a monthe or two when we get in the 90's.
It is an absolute blast to drive.

Crumpmd, There is a Tech Service Bulletin on the a/c that came out just a few weeks ago. Have you dealer check it. There are some posts regarding it on this forum.
