MM tuning in person on East coast of FL
Hey guys, so MazdaManiac has offered his services in person here in Florida. Currently I am trying to set up a meet in which we can hang out have a certain amount of people to have their cars tuned by MM.
Now, were planning to have the dyno for 8 hours (meaning 8 slots), but can go up to the maximum amount of 12 hours (12 slots)
NA (Naturally Aspired) cars take up 1 slot, meaning 1 hour
FI (Forced Induction) cars take up 2 slots, meaning 2 hours
So far the list for cars to be tuned are as follows:
1. Stevebiggie (FI- 2 slots)
2. " " " "
3. ZoomZoom (NA- 1 slot)
4. chino0314 (NA- 1 slot)
5.
6.
7.
8.
A Maximum of 12 slots are to be done that day if more people want to get tuned, but have to pay $100 extra on top of the $150 for NA or $300 for FI
9.
10.
11.
12.
The price per slot is $150, meaning if your FI then you pay $300. In addition, the rental of the dyno for the day (which is still being discussed) is split between all of the participating cars.
Now all of this can be done if you have the MMCCS, if you do not have the MMCCS then you must purchase it off mazdamaniac.com.
I will also post the day(s) of this event once prices and arrangements for MM are settled.
Anyone interested in getting their car tuned or just wanting to hang out and have a good time, send me a pm and I'll give you more details.
Hope to have a big bash

to the OP: just a bit of advice, if you can I would recommend shooting for a date in January. The December 18th is too close to the holidays, people are spending money on gifts, and it might be tough to get people signed up.
January gives you plenty of time to spark interest and spread the word so you can help keep the costs down. (the more people you get to sign up, the cheaper it gets on a per person basis)
Good luck, hopefully you guys get the opportunity to do this as Dyno Days are always fun.

I'll try to put $800 aside for this...Late January is ok but February is even better. I hope my engine is covered under warrantee!

Not exactly - I am charging people that DON'T have an AccessPORT from me an additional $150 over their cost for tuning slots.
So, if you have an AP and you are NOT currently a MazdaManiac Custom Calibration Service customer, you would pay $300 for your tuning slot plus the dyno operator's charge.
It is $150 per slot as long as you fill 8 slots.
If only 6 slots are filled, the per-slot cost goes up to $200.

Understood...thanks!

I wish I had the time to help put all this together but work is just too crazy. Who else can step in to manage this?
Ideas:
Perhaps it can be done in the Ft. Lauderdale/West Palm area so the Orlando guys and the Miami guys can meet in the middle?
We should post this in the Mazda3 and 6 forum to improve the chances of filling up the slots?
I can ask around if there is a good shop with a dyno?
Let me know,
Chris
