i need the latest flash as well, i went to gunther and they gave me some flak how they have to diagnose my car to see what i have already, was gonna cost almost 200 bux..i asked why can tthey just flash it with out the diagnosis and they said they cant do that. seems like they just wanted 200 bux out of me.

See that's my problem i dont want to take it and have them try and charge me anything when it's a recall from mazda. Im probably gonna take it from ocean mazda and im gonna tell them all i need is the re-flash..i use to work as a service greeter so i know how to takle those people..lol. Well see how it goes..i dont think there needs to be a charge for that anyways..since it is a recall

i really dont see the need to get a diagnosis...i know i have an old flash, i know there is a new one....GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!!!! im under warranty, iirc it is a recall, not a voluntary upgrade...its designed to help my car run better..i shouldnt have to pay anything but oh well.

Magic as far as i looked(and i did a lot of searching) as long as your car is still within 5yr/60k miles from the original purchase date your ok..they should not have to charge you anything and if they try to be slick with you (which let's face it this is miami) just tell them that you'll call mazdausa in front of there faces and see if there is a charge..or that you'll report the dealer to them. As far as i know the msp-16 is a recall for all the vehicles that fall under the vin that mazda provided. Im gonna take it to ocean mazda on friday early in the morning.

From what i heard you just walk in the dealer tell them that you feel a lack of power, engine idles rough under warm conditions and your car has NOT gotten perfomerd the MSP-16 Reflash and they'll tell you to bring it in. I called they said approx 2 hours and then it's done. And from what i hear it helps the car.

Ok...So i went and did the TSB today..overall so far the car drives good. I've only driven it back from the dealer but i can tell that overall the idle has improved and the engine sounds more quiet..Tonight im gonna take it out and see how it runs especially at WOT. If any of you guys are still under warranty i suggest you guys go in and get this done.
