This weekend, at Panoz event, Pam and I used the spot you are talking about. It really is the best place to park. If we get their Friday, we may be able to capture this location but I would think all bets are off as it is a VERY popular spot. The shade was awesome though.

WHAT! So sudden? What's up OD. Is everything OK?

 

appreciate yall asking, and everything is ok, just right now with the tags due in sept (5 cars and a boat!) and one teen age girl signed up for cub soccer(away tournements etc) and starting back to private school in Aug, and THEN another teenage girl starting in an advanced program at another school in AUg, AND letting the wife keep the checkbook for 2 months(dont tell her I said that!) has got us into a projected situation just like our government. The differance is I cant just print money when I need it. When I said I was going to RA I was thinking our checkbook was in better shape than I just discovered. I probaly WILL just ride up and hang out. Although It will be hard to just watch.

Kevin and I will let you and Kurt Bob have our spots at the Plash Hotel if you will come up. Since I only live 15 miles from the track it's just not a big deal for us to drive over. We will still be able to enjoy ALL the festivities after the sessions are over and it would make for a better group to hang out. How bout it?

OD, you could always work the event, it would make driving your next event a little less painful on the checkbook. It is the reason I just finished working at CMP, and am working RA.

You've had a few events already. Shouldn't you be in HPDE2?

 

My NASA instructor only signed off for HPDE 2 at Roebling, so I have to sign up for RA in HPDE1.
With Chin at Barber, after the first session they had me driving in the advance group with the race cars. That is a little humbling experience, since about 1/2 the people out there are passing you. And at Chin most of the cars are GT3's with some GT3 cup cars.

Damn, I may have to now fork over another 3 large to drive. Or, I could bring the car, work, and drive it during the touring laps.... hmmmmm, hard decision..... Dedicated Track Car at Road Atlanta or Touring Laps..... damn, decisions, decisions....

Hey Gordon, maybe we can lead touring laps again, this time I will do the driving, since touring laps in your Titan might not be the best lead car.

 

okay peeps....time to start the planning phase.....

I will have the lodge, a gallon of rita mixed up, four or five pounds of ***, some beer brauts and the big cooler. Things we will need include, but are not limited to....

*Mustard, ketchup, relish, etc.
*Buns (hamburger and hotdog)
*Chips, baked beans, tator salad, slaw, and that kinda stuff
*Napkins and plates
*Breakfast stuff (pastries, donuts, pigs in blankets, etc)
*What ever else you may want to drink (lots o' water)
*Your favorite pillow
*Ice, Ice, and more Ice baby

There is seven of us staying at the lodge. I'm sure we will be joined by a few others after the track events for a little while (I think the gates close at 10). So, we need plan for them as well. I only have six camp chairs.

There is no water hook up at RA, so we will have to have some water for brushing teeth and the likes. There is a porti-potty set up near where we will be. There are showers at the main RA restrooms.

Are you going to have that huge cooler you had last year?

If so, on my way into the track, I will stop and get a bunch of ice, 5 or 6 bags, some cold beers and a bunch of water, I figure at least 48.

Put who out??? On paper it's good for sleeping 10.....with room to move around, 8. STF, the door is open....just let us know so we can plan accordingly.
