Since I got a 1.46.111, that must mean I hold the track record for TTD - for a limited time anyway!

Well, I was the first to leave the track and the last to comment on the weekend. Oh well.
It was great to see everyone, even though I didn't get to spend much time with some of you. My instructor clinic went fast, and I'm glad I picked Friday to do it. We only had about 12 or so cars in our group, which meant lots of open track!!! I felt sorry for those of you who had to fight through the many trains out on track Saturday.
Many thanks to Rob and Ravelle for the shade, hospitality, air conditioning, and the emergency loaner tires.
Charlie, all I got was a handshake. I hope you had a good time, and were able to unwind after your hectic week.
It was good to meet the folks new to me - Drew111 (a nice enthusiastic young man) and On Rails (windshield tester).
Thanks to L8APEX for breakfast Saturday up in tent city. And speaking of tent city, it wasn't really that hot after all. We had a good time, (but nothing like a weekend with Phlash at the Motel 10). We missed you Phlash!!!
I'm looking forward to VIR on Labor Day weekend and Roebling with NASA. It looks like we're going to have a good turnout at Roebling.

March 2007 - the kid in the blue Audi TT. He is wicked fast and I am glad he bought a 325i to get him out of my class. I still kicked his *** by about 11 seconds though

I spoke to the guy and he told me it was running the 3.5 inline 6. The car was gutted (completely including the dash) and caged with suspension work and other stuff. The car classes in TTF with 1 or 2 stars. Apparently he had enough points to get into TTD. He was faster on the straights b y a decent bit and went pretty good elsewhere too.

I want to thank all of the Georgia RX8 club guys (TrackAddict & OD) at the track this past weekend. It was my first time at Road Atlanta (HPDE1) and second event. I had a great time meeting everyone and seeing your cars. My instructor was Rob Whitener.

Track Video
For your viewing pleasure here is a video I put together that combines three clips. The first clip I am with Rob, the second clip is solo, and the third clip is with TA. I got to use the new Tracmount for these. I'll say it again I got the best video ever using it. The Google video really doesn't do it justice. When I got home I put it up on the projector (72" screen). My wife walked in and thought I was watching the Speed channel! He comment she made was that it looked so professional.
I wish I knew how to up the quality on Google. Here ya go:

the way we make it better quality, is you upload it to somewhere other than Google. If you want, we can try to work something out, I have space on my server.

I have server space I can use. I guess I could go that route but I want the video available on Google. What I'm talking about is the fact that for example TA's videos on Google appear to have a higher quality than mine. Just wondering if other people are uploading them in a different format than wmv or maybe it has to do with the 16:9 being converted to 4:3 by Google. I'll see if I can post a link to the higher quality file on my server.
