I have my camera mount ready for tomorrow. Hope you can make it.

I was thinking how neat it would be to put it outside/driver's side and get video of the crotch rockets doing their thing. If I can make it, that is. What is the proper etiquette for telling someone to pass you in the mountains? I tried the blinker thing you guys do on the track but it usually just confused people in the mountains.

Awesome schedule. Sooooo excited...

I had a nice drive today with some new friends:LewNutz and wht05rx8. Wht05rx8 led us on an awesome run through the north Ga mountains. This was my third time there but my first on a bunch of the roads he led us on. We met at 10am and I rolled into my garage at about 2:30pm. Wht05rx8 has also registered for the HPDE and will be joining us at MAzcare Friday afternoon. Looking forward to yet another track buddy joining us.

Okay, mere days before I hit the road and head on down so I need to check one last time; Trace and I are doing his flywheel. Last I remember, and I could be wrong, Phlash and I were supposed to do a nitrous kit but he may have developed trepidations. Is that still on? And are there any other projects I should plan for or last minute requests? I will spend the next few nights going over my check list and packing so consider this a "last call", of sorts. Thx.

Also, what are you guys doing for numbers? I think I read a bit of controversy on that, too.

CRH,

I'm tapped out...the nitrous is gonna have to wait a little bit.....besides, it will give me the chance to see it in action and see if I want to go that step or just go for broke and do the turbo. I really, really apprieciate the offer to help. It means a lot. I will help you and Trace where ever I can.

On a side note......Charlie....do you have a trash can or something to put the keg in? If ya'll think about it, can someone pickup a couple/few bags of ice for the keg???

Additionally, in the event I can't figure it out, is there any way any of you Atlanta folks may be able to get the keg back to Gordon Beirsch (sp) sometme next week? Thanks all!

No help needed Ray but I will be adding the mazdaspeed front strut at Charlies.
will you have your ppf on? I think I remembered reading someone with the turbo installed having some trouble and the ppf was being questioned? Possible market here?
I broke down and got magnetic numbers done. Looks good. now if I can just tape them on ok.

I'm takin my chances and doing no tape. The lady at the shop tells me they run their magnetic numbers on dragsters with no issues. Soooo, we'll see. I hate the thought of taping anything onto the car......

OD, the strut bar takes about twenty minutes to do......

Hey guys, my brother will be attending this weekend and will be helping me out. He joined the RX8Club today to keep up with us. He will be coming up from Waycross and riding with me to Mazcare Friday. User name "Toy8". He's pumped and he doesn't even own an 8! :D

As I read through the posts to catch up on preps for THIS weekend, I could feel the hair on the back of my neck growing as the testosterone and adreniline levels began to rise. My palms are sweaty and I can't focus on simple work related task! HI there. I'm SilverEights brother (Robert), and will be assisting him with various photo work of the event. Looking forward to being there and attempting to capture some great shots. My other task will be to keep my brother calm, and keep his keys so he isn't tempted to sneak his 8 out on the track. (Hey Bro)
