I look forward to the end result too. I don't know if I have the patience to wait though. We'll bug you until you have to make this your full time job... Your real employer will understand.

YES! Count on it. I need to bring Robert too because he is responsible for a lot of the images and he done us proud too. Thanks to Charles and Robert for taking pics, I have proof I was on the track (granted it was only a tour but what the heck) and it looks good. I did do a little spirited driving in the corners :D (with DSC turned on )

Tim,

It was just the 7 - Dora didn't come as her Dad was in town. Dora's sister, Carrie did go in the yellow S2000 -- but the silver 8 sat it out this time.

I had a friggin' BLAST! My instructor the first day got T-boned in the small-bore race (in his very cool yellow '73 Fairlady 240 Z), so I got a different instructor on Sunday - who encouraged me to haul serious ***. I set the PFC in high-boost mode and was flat burning up the track on Sunday's first session (I spun out in 10A trying to get that extra 2 MPH) - in particular he coached me on turn 12 and by the end of the session we were taking it flat-out in 4th gear at 100+ MPH!

We turned down the boost for the second session, but at some point I noticed coming down the backstraight that I had no boost above 4500 RPM. Hopefully it's not a burned-up turbo -- BadAssRX-7 is doing some diagnostics today, we think its the Charge Relief Solenoid. I got smoother in the second session and was catching faster (now that I was boost-less) cars in the corners. I got worried about the turbos and sat out the 3rd session since I really didn't want to cook the turbos to the tune of a $4,000 repair.

Even running only 5 track sessions, it was easily the best $300 I've ever spent. I'll be back in August and look forward to having a fookin' blast again then!!

Thanks to the crew for posting all the pics and videos - keep 'em coming!

Peace,
T

errrrr I don't know how to say this...

But either your real green to driving or a big Virgin on the track.

I would never let someone in the passenger seat grab my steering wheel and say...
Here let me show you how to do it around the corner.

Too dangerous, even if he was an instructor.

Or am I just getting too old and cautious/wise?

Nice 2nd Video.

Only wish the camara had a couple of spacers so it was mounted a little higher.

Here's what we do on motorcycles for sound: Use foam around the microphone.

It will block the air noise. NO not the popcorn stuff! Tape a pc around the hole but don't block it.

No to both. He was trying to show me how to keep full throttle through turn 5 and drift a bit to the right. My usual pass on turn was to keep way right to get a better racing line, be in a position to pass, and lengthen the straight to be able to keep on the gas, but he didn't want me to do that since it takes away all safety space on the right. That was my 5th track session for the weekend, with two prior track days before with Panoz. I was neither green by then, nor a track Virgin.

He warned me before. Obviously it didn't frazzle me. You should come on out next time we have a track day. That may answer the old/cautious/wise question.

I have a concept home page up now. no links to images yet but I should start that later this weekend.

http://www.donyaun.com/ra_nasa_mar_05/

1. Links will be under "Photos" and "Movies"
2. The user names on right will be mouse overs that pop up an image of the users car. Right now it only shows Olddraggers car.

Rxeightr's car will stay at the bottom just because it's a sharp looking car.

Feedback please!

Don - I love the look. Absolutely slick as you know what! I like the idea of the mouse overs. Rxeightrs car does look great on the page too. I can't wait to see this go live. You are gonna be busy for a while!!!

Hi Phlash - sorry to hear about your surgery. I was wondering why I was the only one on each morning. What happened? Are you OK? Hope so! Be well my friend.

Hope all is well. Was it from shifting so much? :D Not sure what you can do to your hand but I hope it's not serious. Get well soon.
