I stopped by Mazcare yesterday and saw Charlie's ACT flywheel. It weighs 13lbs 11.25oz. That is a bit lighter than the RB flywheel. He plans on installing it this week in his car so we'll find out how it feels directly from him since he has also installed and driven the RX8 stock, with MS, and with RB flywheels.

Is that with the counterweight or without? I weighed my stock FD flywheel and thought, damn, I'm going to save about 10 lbs with my 11 lbs M2 flywheel. It was 11 alright, then throw on the counterweight and your up to 15. I must admit, it was a great improvement on the butt dyno. Could tell it better than I could my dp and cat-back.

You should get one of those hula girls and tell them it's a Cornering G measuring device.

I've lost count but I don't think GRT8 is signed up. Please prove me wrong GRT8. If and when you decide to come out with us, you will really dismiss away any kind of buyers remorse that may develop after reading all the stupid mileage and torque and dyno horsepower threads on this forum. This car feels great on the street as you have already discovered and feels right at home on a road course hanging with STIs, EVOs, Mustangs, Boxsters, and the occaisonal C5.

GRT8 - if he signs up would make 11 on track (12 total). Buy your wife some flowers and get clearance :D
SilverEight - official journalist amd videographer

GRT8 would make 11 on track (12 total)

Howdy gang,
As promised I am the guinea pig of a few odds and ends and the bottom line is the flywheel that I spoke of is the best I've installed so far! The response is great as expected, the balance is perfect (wasn't sure), driveability is unaffected, and the price is better than anything else. Denny, I left you a voice mail about it but just order it and we'll put it on for you.

Still no real definate word on the RB intakes (hurry up and wait)

Y'all have a safe weekend and I'll speak to you soon.

Charlie
