I think I have gotten clearance from the boss to work this event. As much as I would like to drive it, gotta work to play is the new motto for the rest of the year. Kinda like paying my dues to NASA, it is time to give a little back. So I will probably sign up to work next week, now, where is this track, how are we getting there, who wants to have either a codriver or a pilot, and who needs a roomie? Lots of questions, I know.

I think I'm going to drive this, I've heard so much about it. I'll work the next event and go to Roebling as my freebie. I'll be happy to room with you. I'm going to work either the hillclimb or RA. I have to talk to the boss about driving this first, I guess I shouldn't speek too soon.

Guys, good news, bad news. I will be at the event, but I may not have the Evo. I may bring the wife's new toy (if things go well). 2002 M3, coil-overs and swaybars, track tune, etc. She wanted a BMW, and I wanted another sports car. We bagged the second kid thing for a while, and ditched her Jeep. We should know something tomorrow. (R compounds will be a must ).

M3... nice choice!
I recall at dinner after TGPR, you told us your wife said you took a perfectly good car and made it undrivable (referring to the EVO). Somehow I think that is going to happen again.

the tires will last 14 races, are the races only about 5 laps each. That car looks like fun, 265 HP and only 1795 lbs, that would be pretty quick, and would definitely be a lot of fun, probably a handful too.
Still working the angle with the boss about working this event, but it looks like I will be able to. Will no more by the end of the week. No rush really, just anxious.

TA is in HPDE group 3. Unless he requests one, he doesn't get one. HPDE one and two both include instructors. It is up to the instructors to decide if you get signed off for solo.

Executive Inn in Kershaw. It's about 4 miles from the track. Don't expect any amenities but the close proximity is worth it. About $55 per night. You will have a BoJangles for Breakfast and Dinner is in Kershaw at a relatively nice restaurant. See my thread on the June 2nd for phone numbers of Hotels. Kershaw is a very small town so don’t expect any night life!

Yea, the Executive Inn is the place.
It is truly an exotic place with abundant amenities. The pool is crystal clear and always at the optimum temperature. The poolside waiters are both courteous and prompt. The lounge has only topflight entertainment.
All of the F1 drivers and teams stay there when they come to Kershaw.
