Lets get back on the topic of sway bar bushings - I had mine regreased in Jan and they needed it. They also stoped squeaking when I back out of my driveway each morning.

guys---on the rb sway lube--just go to autozone, pep boys and buy a good SYnthetic lube(usually comes in a tube) and take you sway bar plates off and apply. easy to do. Just be sure to wipe off the excess. i usually have to do this once a year. there actually are grease fittings you can buy and have installed but hey once a year--not worth it. Its a 45 min driveway job--i usually do it when I am changing to track pads, since i have the car up and the tools out.

I used to use Teflon tape, I hope that does not date me. But it used to work on aftermarket parts.
It lasted longer than the grease....and alot longer that just bacon.

visiable pad material on the rotor is ok and long as you dont have the shimmy when braking. If you do then thats another story--depends if actual runout is on the rotor. Squealing is usually a result of the pads vibrating, clean your shims good, calipers, etc with LOTS of cleaner(and watch that pretty caliper paint job go), lube them well, make sure the calipers are torqued properly and ride. Also make sure the wheels are tighten in the proper manner(start pattern) and are torqued properly. Some will squeal, some wont.
Hawks are an abrasive pad(will eat up the rotor) UNTIL it gets to operating temps--then it become an adherant type(actually adding to the rotor). If you run them on the street for any lenght of time they will eat up the rotor. I usually swap out my pads(i run car bo tec's panter 8's) about 1 week before track. I drive about 20 miles a day--no city driving.
I hate squealers

There you go corrupting everything again.
BTW, I had a dream last night about turn 1 at RA. It was almost a wet one!

I thought about something last night, if Blue is coming from Wisconsin, the land of cheese, he needs to bring some with him. The cheese from there is better than any I have ever had. I would make a special order, if he was inclined to be so kind as to transport it.

Turn one is only a wet dream if early apexed which will put you off the track usually at the top of the trackout point at which point if the grass is wet the car will pick up speed as it leaves the track and hits the wall on drivers left. If it hits tire wall first, ( before hitting the wall) the tires which have water in them will splash skanky water into the open window of the car and onto the driver at which

A wet dream turned into a nightmare. That was a bit too vivid a description to just come from someone's imagination. You'll have to enlighten us with more track stories at your shop.

I've been doing real good managing my excitement about March RA. Then today, I get a new magazine in the mail that I did not realize I had subscribed for, "Grassroots Motorsports". I assume this came from registering with NASA? Now, I'm pumped! The magazine has done it's job. I want to buy tires, read about Mini's, SCCA Solo and get a Cobra Racing Seat for my 8! I love it!

yep, my copy of GRM came in yesterday, yep, already got through the whole issue. Now I to have to wait a long time for the next one. I think my next goal is to get my car in the magazine, either in the reader ride picture, or the one where your car is on track with a GRM sticker. Both should not be too hard to to.

Next time you are at a NASA event, look around, two or three of the authors are regulars at the track. The corvette they did a while back came to an autocross my car was competing in (not me). I felt like I was standing next to a celebrity.
Um, can't say online due to other commitments yet. However, here are the facts. It will be used, it will be white or black, and it will have something under the hood that sounds like 'oost'.
I am working out the details now, however, the Skyline lead is panning out too, so I am not sure which route to go. My wife wants/declares I am getting the 8 though, because she doesn't want another black whole for a car.
When I get back from Canada (eh!), I will let you guys know what paneed out.
How much loinger till Road A?
BTW, I see cords on the Azenis, they are 'officially' gone. Not even ONE more event left in them. How sad. Maybe I can just replace the corded one ????
