Val, Ahhhhhh, the X-15, nice avatar. One of my fovorite aircraft of all times! My first non-automotive plastic model in the early 60's.

I just came to a realization, I'm freeking pumped for the 18th! I just had a friend over at my desk and was showing him the RA track layout. I proceeded to explain to him the turns, what gear to be in, where the rumbel strips are and such! Oh my, am I pumped! The really strange thing is... I've never driven it at speed. I've always been a passenger, rode parade laps and listened to you guys. Strangely enough I have that feeling like I've driven it.

Why don't we stake our claim and leave a couple of cars there? I'll put tires on Friday night and leave the car there if needed.

this is a really good idea, problem is, we might need to be there when the gates open. The paddock area was pretty packed in august, and I am sure this event will be no different.

ONE WEEK, ONE WEEK!

just had to get that out of my system. Every night this week, I have ahd a different dream about Road Atlanta, thankfully last nights were better than the previous, but none of the variety that lego has.

Frankly, I'm kind of envious of Lego's dream!

My son will be coming out on Sunday, maybe he can get some shots as well, get with me then and I'll introduce him to you and maybe he can concentrate on your car for a session.

We are defining the ultimate US RX-8 track day meet. The Aussies have us beat but I don't think any other US gathering of RX-8s for a track day is this big. It is very exciting and the start of an annual Spring tradition. This is our 2nd Annual Georgia RX8 Club Track Day (as I think we need to refer to it).

I have been in contact with Jim Pantas over the past few weeks for designated Georgia RX8 Club paddock space. The paddock map should be uploaded in the next couple of days to NASA's site showing our Club parking. It may still be a good idea to claim that space Friday evening.

Speaking of Friday, who plans on going to Mazcare Friday afternoon? Charlie wanted a head count. Blue, Rxeightr - when will you be rolling into town?

damn, how many do the aussies pull in for a track day. must be a lot to outnumber us.

Very cool about our designated paddock space. While I would like to hang out at Charlie's, if we need to claim our paddock space on friday, I can run up there and do that. Just let me know later next week.

I hope to have all of my tuning done before Friday. I'd love to get together with the group. If I'm able to brake from work early (no later than 3:00PM) I plan to go to Charlie's. However if I can't brake away, I will plan to go to the track and put up the easy-up or what ever's needed. L8, lets stay in touch on this.

Alright, play it boys!...No-Rain Dance theam!

I've made reservations at "Crossroads Bar & Grill" for Saturday Night, 6:30-7:00 for 15 people. I will adjust or cancel as needed as we approach the 18th.

Thumbs up So you wanted special parking arrangements?

You wanted a place close to the front of the paddock with high visibility?
You wanted to hang with your homeys?
You wanted to be able to make a showing of Rotary solidarity?
You wanted to come to the 2nd Annual Georgia RX8 Club Track Day and park with your rotary powered brethren (and a few select guests)?

Damn, you are a demanding lot! I bet you want your own instructor as well. Maybe a world class race track known for its dramatic elevation changes.

May I present, the RX8 Club paddock space, now official...

Does the RX-8 corral have a section for us old timers in RX-7's or are we down in the overflow pasture?

I'm off Friday, so I'll be stopping by Mazcare on Friday. What time does Charlie want us to start showing up and not affect his normal business?

All GA RX8 Club members regardless of the car they are driving are expected in the corral.

I plan on coming to Charlie's. What time will folks be getting there ... around closing time, or earlier?

at this time in one week, we will either be in class, or on track. WOOOHOOOO. Sure beats the hell out of being at work, where I am now, and have been for about 90 mintutes.

RA needs to happen soon, another night of bad dreams like last night, and I won't make it. I had a dream, second lap, first session, went off track three times between turn 1 and the top of the esses. I woke up in a cold sweat.

Track on...

TA, that's awsome. Thanks a lot for setting that up.

On another note, I found this picture on the RX-7 club and laughed out loud. I thought you all would like it.
