OCD folks plus poor spelling members= interesting results!
Come on STF if you get it now you can have her broken in and some of those you know you want to change things done by RA day. --Hmmmm white is getting popular. The only color not there will be yellow? I have a feeling that this event will be a crowning acheivement! Look how far we as a group have come. I still remember the 1st time on RA in the panoz day. Stock wheels tires, regular dino in the trans and diff--only mod was the sway bars.
maybe we need hash marks on out club shirts/jacket for every participated track evet!
I think NASA will really know who we are.

Trust me, the NASA folks, know and appreciate you / us guys. It warms my heart to see folks as passionate about cars as you guys are. I have some bickering to do, but the wife complicated things when she took the Evo to work today..... I was surprised, and scared, because it is raining today. The Evo will spin all four in second in the dry, what is going to do in the rain???? And she just wrecked her car......Oh boy.

I am getting weak, I didn't have the cage welded up, and they just happened to get a white one like I want at the Mazda place. I may be braking in a newbie, getting the cherry poped....

The 12 Steps of TA (Track Anonymous)
1. We admitted we were powerless over track - that our cars had become uncontrollable.
2. Came to believe that a Rotary power greater than ourselves could restore our cars to stock.
3. Made a decision to turn our keys and our brake pads over to the care of Race Control or Pit Out.
4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our race equipment.
5. Admitted to Race Control, to ourselves and to another track addict the exact dollar amount spent on track.
6. Were entirely ready to have Race Control remove our tires and batteries.
7. Humbly asked someone to remove our race harnesses.
8. Made a list of all drivers we had passed, and became willing to give a point by to them all.
9. Made monetary amends to such drivers wherever possible, except when to do so would make their cars faster than ours.
10. Continued to take tire inventory and when we had two extra sets promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to forget our conscious contact with apexes, as we understood them, praying only for constant radius turns and the power not to track out.
12. Having had a positive bank balance as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to trackaholics and to practice driving sanely in all of our errands.

All, I am still debating on what to do about the car. No, I don't want to keep the Evo and an RX8, but my wife has made it ABUNDANTLY clear, if I get an 8, she wants it to be 'relatively' stock, so she too can enjoy. If I could wait a few more months, the Evo would be totally paid for, and I could justify another set of wheels. Then I could leave it stock.
Decisions, Decisions.....I can't decide what I want to do. Maybe I should sell the Evo, by an 93 RX7, and just go MOD crazy. I have always loved those cars, and I am sure I could pick up one configured the way I want out of Atlanta, so technically, I wouldn't be modding. But, there is one more car, which if it comes to pass, I WILL pull the tr9igger on......whether or not the wife likes it. I have a lead on a R33 GTR (Skyline Baby). I have always lusted for one, and I want to be the envy of all 16 year old kids.....

Seriously though, you get an R33, and I will have to start refering to you as Mr. Ackerson. Then, I could be the envy of other people because I could say, "I know this guy that drives an R33 Skyline...."

keep the evo dude--if it is almost paid for I mean --really. You know if you get an 8 the mods are just around the corner. you will not be satisfied with anything less. Dont let you heart get in front of you head when you are making capital investments like this. Pay off the evo--keep it. then buy an 8 when the time is right. hell there are a lot of good used 8's out there now. some with the mods you would want anyway.

there is a blue evo for sale at my apartment. not sure if anyhting is wrong with it. looks like it is heavily modded, which might mean that it has been heavily abused. I still like the 8 better.

UPDATE:
Well, the harness are out, the seats are back in, and I even put in the mats. I had a long talk with the wifey, and well, she hates the Evo. SO, I am going to talk to them about white RX8 at the dealership tomorrow. HOwever, I am making no promises, I REALLY like the Evo, so I might back out, it totally depends on how much the wife likes / dislikes the 8 vs. the other cars we look at. She is also looking at an S4.

Point to the S4 and tell her, "That one goes, boinga boinga boinga." Then point to the RX-8 and say, "But Honey, that one right there, that one goes hmmmmmmmmmm!"
That will convince her that the RX-8 is better!
