I haven't been this excited about a track event in a long time! I think it is the group we have coming (except Phlash who we'll miss). Anyway, I can hardly wait. I am sitting in my hotel room in Princeton, NJ and in my mind I am zooming around RRR.

I just wrote Jim/Julie and told them I may be a possible no show for the event. I requested they keep me on the list as long as possible. My father-in-law is not doing very well and I could get a call from my wife at any moment or he could get better. Anyway, family first and I'm just not going to know for sure until later in the week.

Don,
Sorry to hear his health has turned again. Hopefully today is better day.

On the schedule, it looks very familiar. Almost exactly like the last one (at least in my class) with a few tweaks.

Hope you can make it Silver but family first is the way to go.

My pads are in the oven at Carbotech. I pick them up Wednesday. Went with the XP-10 this time to try them out.

Jon is an very good instructor. Be prepared for him not to talk a lot during the session until toward the end. He will give you a summary after the session is over. That was a great session for me.

I got back from Willow Springs this week end.
Here are the Access Port results with AP tuning:

Temp 89 degrees or hotter.
100 miles.
Hit Rev cut off 3x
Rev'd to 9100 once each lap down the straight.
Held it at 9100 for a second or longer waiting for the turn to arrive. (Need porting and RP supercat to help with 4th gear torque)

May have hit 9k a few more times in the chicanes, but too busy driving.

Oil consumption appears to be the same. 1 quart. I used premix 2oz/tank.

Got 23 MPG on the way home.

Able to keep ahead of a M3 in the race group.

We got a 14% power increase on dyno day. Thanks MM

Saw a new Porche Carrea GT2 drive off the show room and crash on the track.

Saw a Noble 500 loose brakes and go off track.

Raced with two Ariel Arca street legal track cars.

Watched several AC Cobras race on the track next door.

Mods since last track day:
AP
Mazsport
Enkei RPf1 w/ Pirelli (6 lbs. lighter each wheel)

Good Luck guys! Have fun!

how many EZ-UPs do we have. I have the club one, and will be bringing it. But since Phlash is not driving, we will not have his EZ-Up, and one just won't be enough. TA, do we have funds in the club money bag to get at least one more? I think we need to have at least two there, with all the people we are going to have, and you know it will be hot.

good news all! I may end up getting kicked out of the house friday night(after daughters graduation) because they just cant stand my excitement and will not be able to sleep anyway. If I leave at 10pm i will get there a little after midnight--spend the night at the track--then see all your smiling faces in the a.m.--bring me some breakfast!!!
Ray --i soooo want to see that intercooler--i havent forgot the 5/8 hose approx 8 ft--right. I will also bring extra distilled water etc for the swap over---question is how are you going to get it back--!
Maybe you can give me a short course on abv's while you are there. My turbo xs with the cut spring seems to be working well---good power, sharp throttle response and idlings well.
We survived the tornado here---hurt my youngest daughters school bad.

I think I may owe you a breakfast from a few years ago.
Get what back? The I/C? For some reason, I am not too worried about that......
We'll discuss the couple ways bypass valves can be engineered to work while I am there. I have an old one with me to use as an example.
I was wondering how close you might have been to that tornado. Glad you and your family are okay.

Hey OD, track might be closed if you get there at midnight, I think gates close at 10.

and seriously, bring those Carbotehcs, I might need them, I will bring $$. I ordered new pads last week, and am being let down yet again.

OnRails, if you watch my videos, it won't help. watch TA's, that will make sure I see nothing but the tail lights. either way, it will be fun, and I can't wait to get back out there.

I stopped by Walmart on the way home this morning and picked up another EZ UP.
I will bring it down so OnRails and I have it on Friday, and we will then have at least two for the weekend.

Donations accepted if we want to make this a Ga club canopy, or I will just keep it. They had them "rolled back" to 82$, so I thought it was worth just getting it.
It is NOT allowed near kudzu!

I'll have a backup set with me as well if you need them.

I've thought about getting an EZUP as well. We may have a little tent city.
